Procedure to draw-out/ draw-in Procedure to draw-out the mobile part Warning The mobile part shall be move with the extraction tools only. Do note apply effort on the connection arms. The extraction of the mobile part shall be done when the units have been laid on the floor. Starting condition Unit with circuit-breaker in disconnected / test position. - Open the access door to the circuit-breaker compartment. At the 1st extraction: - Remove the strap part (1). - Remove the block which hold the rod in upper position (2). - Unplug the connector of LV circuits. Extraction of the mobile part (procedure is the same with an ERT or an extraction table) - Move the extraction tool into position in front of the unit (take care that the locating pins engage with the holes provided on the unit). - Lock the trolley in position by pushing and turning the two latching handles in the indicated way. - After the operation, make sure that the trolley is locked. - Turn the selector 2 to the position marked with.then remove the circuit-breaker; pull it out until it comes against the stops of trolley. - Lock the wheels by pressing the brake. Warning During this operation the circuit-breaker springs can be tripped automatically. 07897541EN indice: D0-29

Procedure to draw-out/ draw-in - Return selector to the position. - Unlock the trolley from the unit by turning the two handles in the indicated way. - Release the brakes on the trolley wheels. - Take away the trolley (1). Closing the MV door - Lower the shutter. To close the door without the circuit-breaker inside: - push the hook A to the top, - push the locking part B in the indicated position, then let A free. The locking system will reset automatically when the circuit-breaker is inserted. 30-07897541EN indice: D0

Procedure to draw-out/ draw-in Leaving the mobile part on the floor (only with ERT) - Put the circuit-breaker on the ground by turning the crank (2). - Set the selector 2 to position. - Take away the trolley. 07897541EN indice: D0-31

Procedure to draw-out/ draw-in Procedure to draw-in the mobile part Starting conditions - Cubicle: the circuit-breaker compartment door is open. - ERT: the rails of trolley are in the lowered position. - Circuit-breaker: it is on the floor with the selector 2 in the position marked. ERT - Move the trolley under the circuit-breaker until it comes against the stop. - Set selector 2 to position. - By turning the crank (1), lift the circuit-breaker up to the insertion level. Insertion with the ERT or with extraction table - Approach the trolley with the circuit-breaker in front of the unit. - Move the trolley into position in front of the unit; take care that the locating pins engage with the holes provided on the unit. 32-07897541EN indice: D0

Procedure to draw-out/ draw-in - Lock the trolley in position by pushing and turning the two latching handles (after the operation, make sure that the trolley is locked). - Lock the wheels by pressing the brakes. - Set the selector 2 to position. - Push the circuit-breaker into the circuit-breaker compartment until it stops. - Set selector 2 to position. - Unlock the trolley from the unit by turning the two handles and then pulling them out. - Release the brakes on the trolley wheels. - Remove the trolley. 07897541EN indice: D0-33

Procedure to draw-out/ draw-in - Push and hold the locking device (A - B). - Plugging-in the connector of LV circuits (C). - Lift the black shutter located on the back of the door before closing the door. If the connector is not properly inserted, the locking device will prevent the door from being closed. 34-07897541EN indice: D0

Procedure to draw-out/ draw-in Procedure to extract the VTs and opening the MV cable compartment For units equipped with withdrawable VTs Remove the circuit-breaker (see circuitbreaker extraction procedure page 30). Tools - flat wrench 10 (A). - flat wrench 13 (B). - ratchet wrench 10 (D). Tools Crank supplied. Close the earthing switch (see page 53). We recommend that you lock it in this position: - see page 57 (padlocking), - see page 60 (keylocking). - Draw-out the VT fuses as per procedures (see page 56). - Open the disconnector protecting the VT secondaries placed in the LV compartment. - Loosen the 2 screws using the operating crank handle. - Open the door leading to the MV cable connection compartment. 07897541EN indice: D0-35

Procedure to draw-out/ draw-in - Disconnect the VT secondaries LV connection connector. - Remove the 2 screws. - Unbolt the 5 nuts and withdraw the closing cross-bar. - Extract the VT compartment. 36-07897541EN indice: D0

Testing arrangements MV cable voltage indicators Unit equipped with VPIS boxes VPIS: Voltage Presence Indicating System, a box containing 3 built-in lamps. Technical data: The voltage presence indication is given on the voltage range provided for by the IEC 61958. Instructions for use The VPIS must not be used as a VDS (Voltage Detecting Systems) Indication of a VPIS alone is insufficient to ensure that the system is deenergised: if operating rules so require, appropriate voltage detectors according to IEC 61243 must be used for this purpose. A : voltage presence indicating lamp (1 for each phase). B : connection point used to connect a phase comparator. Phasing out As from energisation of cables, the voltage presence indicator lamps must come on. Phase balance: the lamp does not come on. Phase unbalance: the lamp comes on. MV cable testing WARNING During cable testing, some safety devices are made inoperative, therefore the personnel in charge shall be duly informed and trained. Conditions during the test - Earthing switch open (see page 54). - Testing leads connected to the MV cable lugs. - Circuit-breaker in disconnected position (see page 52). - Check there is no voltage on the VPIS. WARNING Max test voltage is 60kV cc for 15 minutes. For higher values, please contact. 07897541EN indice: D0-45

Testing arrangements AD4 unit Check that the MV cables are dead. The voltage indicating lamps shall be off. Close the earthing switch.(see page 53). It is recommended to lock the earthing switch in closed position (to lock by padlock, see 57). - Open the door after removing the 2 fixing bolts. - If provided, remove the VT truck (see pages 36 to 39), - If present, disconnect the lightening arresters. - Connect the leads from the testing equipment to the MV cable lugs. 46-07897541EN indice: D0

Testing arrangements WARNING The operation described is allowed only for testing configuration; this operation, performed when the switchboard is in service, is extremely dangerous because it makes the operator reach the live parts. Make ineffective the interlock preventing the opening of the earthing switch with open door by entering the slot indicated with a screwdriver and pushing it down-wards. This operation gives access to the operating shaft of the earthing switch. - Open the earthing switch (see page 54) and carry out the test. After performing the test: - Close the earthing switch (see page 53). - Remove the test leads. If provided, connect the lightening arresters. If provided, install the VT truck (see page 40 up to the instructions of closing the VT front panel). - Close the MV cable compatment door and secure it by fixing the 2 bolts. 07897541EN indice: D0-47
