Install square base on back of display using (4) 6 mm pan head screws and split lock washers as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2. Square base installed 2. Install rail-mount base (Figure 3) on existing 3/4 in. rail that runs vertically along cab pillar on right side of cab. NOTE: It is not required, but it is recommended to cut off 1/2 in. of threads from U-bolts before installing rail-mount base. If threads are not cut down, articulation of mounting arm may be limited due to interference with U-bolts. 3. Mount display to rail-mount base using provided RAM arm. Secure display in a position that is convenient for viewing and within arms reach. Make sure that display does not obstruct vision through windows or mirrors. PN: 2006217 October 2013 Rev C 5

Lower feeder house to allow access to area under cab. 2. Open right cab window to allow access to right side of cab floor. 3. Remove plastic tray located on floor to right of operator seat. 4. Locate area on floor free from obstructions for drilling 1-3/8 in. hole. Recommended location is between electrical panel on floor and back cab wall as shown in Figure 4. 5. Combine Installation Ag Leader CAUTION: Before drilling, ensure there are no hydraulic lines or electrical wires under cab that could be damaged. If hydraulic lines or wires are present, it is recommended to temporarily move them until hole has been drilled. 6. Drill hole in floor using provided 1-3/8 in. hole saw and 1/4 drill. For a clean installation, vacuum up metal shards before proceeding. 7. Connect display cable to mating connector on back of display and route cable down post. CAUTION: Never use force to mate electrical connectors. If connectors do not mate easily, they are not aligned properly. 8. Route cable to floor along cab pillar. Secure with provided adhesive-backed cable clips as necessary. 9. Continue routing display cable toward 1-3/8 in. hole in cab floor. Route individual connectors of display cable down through existing hole. 9-pin GPS, 4-pin power control relay, and 2-pin powerout connectors must remain inside cab. Route Ethernet connector first, then route remaining connectors. 10. Install provided split grommet around display cable and insert grommet into hole. NOTE: If GPS will be installed, route GPS cable through hole in floor and connect to mating 9-pin serial connector of display cable before installing grommet in floor. 11. Connect power control relay (Figure 1, #3) to mating connector of display cable. 12. Coil and secure excess length of display cable on floor in area that will be covered by floor tray. 13. Cut notch in front edge of floor tray near cab post to allow display cable to pass between tray and post. Reinstall floor tray. 8 October 2013 Rev C

Ag Leader Combine Installation Installing Power Cable Required Parts: Part Number: (1) Power cable 2000475-1 Cable ties 1. Locate (2) power studs under cab as shown in Figure 5. They are located several inches forward from hole where display cable passes through floor. Figure 5. Power studs under cab 2. Attach terminal of red fused wire to either power stud. CAUTION: To prevent accidental arcing, do not let wrench contact other metal parts when installing power wire. 3. Attach ground terminal of power cable to nearby ground stud located approximately 1 foot back from power studs. 4. Connect 3-socket tower connector on opposite end of power cable to mating 3-pin shroud connector of display cable that was routed down through cab floor in previous section. 5. Loop and securely tie excess power cable under cab away from moving parts. PN: 2006217 October 2013 Rev C 9

Secure module mounting plate using 1/4 bolts, flat washers, split lock washers and hex nuts. 4. Ag Leader Combine Installation Installing Elevator Speed Cable Required Parts: Part Number: (1) Elevator speed cable 4003242-19 Cable ties 1. From inside grain tank, unlatch and remove access panel from top of elevator. This will require removing screws that secure panel to grain tank wall. Elevator should look like Figure 7 with access panel removed. Panel will not be needed as long as Ag Leader flow sensor is installed. Re-install screws into threaded inserts of grain tank wall to prevent loss. Figure 7. Access panel removed from elevator 2. Locate elevator speed sensor connectors in grain tank (between clean grain elevator and grain tank wall) as shown in Figure 8. 3. Install tee end of elevator speed cable between existing speed sensor connectors. 4. Route cable through C-channel welded to side of clean grain elevator, then down through hole located at bottom of grain tank. Secure cable with zip ties as necessary to keep cable clear of moving chains etc. NOTE: Steps 5 and 6 can be performed later when CAN Bus is installed to more efficiently route and secure multiple cables at one time. Ag Leader Installing Ground Speed Cable Combine Installation Required Parts: Part Number: (1) Ground speed cable 4001970-13 Cable ties 1. Raise feeder house to highest position. Turn engine OFF. 2. Locate ground speed sensor on top and near right end of ground drive transmission as shown in Figure 9. Make sure cylinder lock is in place before climbing under feeder house. Route ground speed cable along existing harness up to right rear corner of cab near location of Speed Sensor module. 5. Connect ground speed cable to 2-pin Ground Speed connector of Speed Sensor module. PN: 2006217 October 2013 Rev C 13

Combine Installation Ag Leader Installing Header Position Cable Required Parts: Part Number: (1) Header position cable 4000571-5 Cable ties 1. Locate header position sensor near right side of feeder house as shown in Figure 10. 2. Unplug sensor from combine wiring harness and plug header position tee cable between sensor and combine harness. 3. Route cable up and over Speed Sensor module. Secure with provided cables ties as necessary to keep cable clear of moving parts. 4. Connect header position cable to 8-pin Position Sensor connector of Speed Sensor module. NOTE: During the operational checkout, after a harvest configuration has been created in the display, the header sensor channel must be changed from 4 to 1 in order for the Speed Sensor module to recognize the header sensor signal. If elevator access panel has not already been removed, refer to step 1 on page 11 for details. 2. Remove impact plate of factory-installed flow sensor and U-shaped metal bracket that are shown in Figure 11. NOTE: Only the impact plate and side support brackets will be removed. The flow sensor will remain installed to provide necessary feedback to the in-cab display. With the impact plate removed, the in-cab display will report a yield value of zero. Combine Installation Ag Leader 3. Remove top section of existing elevator deflector by removing (4) mounting bolts (2 from each side of elevator) as shown in Figure 12. Remove (2) deflector mounting bolts from each side of elevator Figure 12. Deflector plate mounting screws to remove (2 on each side) 4. Install provided replacement deflector plate in place of existing deflector that was just removed using provided 8 x 25mm bolts with flat washers, lock washers and hex nuts. Do not fully tighten yet. 5. With new deflector loosely installed, adjust position of deflector until clearance between tip of paddle and deflector is 3/8 5/8 in. A paddle must be in vertical position for this measurement, so it may be necessary to advance elevator chain by hand. This can be done by turning a large pulley on left side of machine above rear tire. With deflector properly positioned, mark locations for front (2) mounting holes. 6. Punch and drill (2) holes for front mounting bolts. 7. Install provided 8 x 25 mm bolts with flat washers, lock washers and hex nuts through front mounting holes. Fully tighten all deflector mounting bolts at this time. 8. Position flow sensor on top of clean grain elevator so end with load cell is toward front of combine as shown in Figure 13. Holes and slots around perimeter of flow sensor should line up with flange at top edge of elevator head. 16 October 2013 Rev C

Cut a small slot into flow sensor housing as shown in Figure 14. This slot will allow CAN Bus harness to pass through when it is installed in a following section. NOTE: Flow sensor will not be installed at this time. It will be bolted to elevator after CAN Bus is routed in a following section. Figure 14. Measure 38 in. up from top edge of lower boot as shown in Figure 17 and make a horizontal mark on elevator for reference in the next step. Position spacer block on right side of clean-grain elevator so that back of spacer block is 1/2 to 1 in. away from back edge of elevator and top of spacer block is aligned with horizontal mark on elevator that is 38 in. above boot seam. Before proceeding to the next step, verify that proposed vertical location of EMU will not interfere with normal operation of gull-wing door. 4. Carefully trace around inlet and outlet holes of spacer block using a permanent marker or scribe. Use provided 9/32 in. drill to mark locations for (5) mounting holes. 5. Extend opening of inlet hole to 8 in. so outline of cutouts on elevator matches cavity on back of spacer as shown in Figure 18. NOTE: Extending dimensions of inlet hole is critical for operation of EMU. If dimensions are not extended, moisture may be inaccurate due to low volume of grain passing by sensor. Combine Installation Ag Leader Figure 18. Holes and cutouts marked 6. Drill 1/2 in. holes in all corners of inlet and outlet holes. Drill (5) 9/32 in. holes for mounting EMU to elevator. 7. Cut inlet and outlet holes using an appropriate cutting tool. Stay inside marked lines. 8. File edges of holes to remove burrs or sharp edges that may wear chain paddles or prevent clean mounting of EMU. 9. Install external tooth lock washers on (5) 1/4 x 1-3/4 in. pan head screws and insert into mounting holes from inside elevator. Install hex nuts outside. See Figure 19. 20 October 2013 Rev C

Secure EMU housing on top of spacer block with (5) 1/4 in. lock nuts. 12. Install (3) sheet metal screws into spacer block to complete installation. Ag Leader Combine Installation 4. Secure mounting plate to elevator using provided 1/4 in. cap screws, lock washers and hex nuts. 5. Secure Moisture Sensor module to 1/4 in. studs of module mounting plate using serrated flange nuts as shown in Figure 21. Figure 21. Moisture Sensor module installed 6. Connect 8-position deutsch plug of EMU control cable with mating CONTROL receptacle of moisture module. 7. Connect weather pack connectors of EMU control cable to EMU components. 3-position shroud mates with proximity switch and 2-position tower mates with motor as shown in Figure 22. Ag Leader Installing Moisture Sensor Combine Installation Required Parts: Part Number: (1) Moisture sensor with integral cable 4001215 Cable ties 1. Locate moisture sensor as shown in Figure 23. Provided sensor is a new revision as of August 2009. Functionally it is identical to its predecessor, but there are a couple of noteworthy differences. a. Sensor cover is integrated into moisture sensor assembly for ease of installation. b. Ground strap has been eliminated. Electrical connection between moisture sensor and EMU is achieved through the mounting stud/wing-nut/sensor housing interface. Figure 23. Moisture sensor 2. Install moisture sensor into EMU housing by engaging tab on bottom of moisture sensor cover with tab on side of housing. Tilt sensor upward to insert sensor blade into grain cavity and secure cover with a wing nut. 3. Route moisture sensor cable to moisture module. Connect 8-position deutsch plug of moisture sensor cable with mating SENSE receptacle of moisture module. 4. Secure excess cable with zip ties to keep it clear of moving parts. ID x 1-3/8 in. PHD 2002824-50 Cable clamps Cable ties NOTE: Begin routing CAN Bus at Moisture Sensor module and work toward flow sensor and display cable as detailed in the following steps: 1. Plug gray female connector of moisture module stub into mating gray male connector of Moisture Sensor module. 2. Plug black female connector of moisture module stub into Y-Splice of CAN Bus harness. NOTE: The CAN Bus harness resembles a Y configuration. (2) cables are connected with a Y-Splice on one end and corrugated together for several feet. Moisture module stub plugs into Y-Splice on double corrugated end. 3. Plug 2-socket tower connector of EMU power cable into mating 2-pin shroud connector of Moisture Sensor module. 4. Route moisture module stub, CAN Bus harness and EMU power cable up and toward body of combine on front side of clean grain elevator. Secure cables to an existing harness from elevator to body of combine. 5. At body of combine, route power cable to battery box located on right side of combine behind elevator as shown in Figure 24 for 9540 and 9560 models. For 9520 models, battery box is on left side of machine. Connect fused terminal of power cable to positive terminal of battery. Connect black wire to negative terminal. Check for 12-volt nominal power across terminals. 6. Route CAN Bus labeled To Flow Sensor up into grain tank through hole in floor between clean grain elevator and outer grain tank wall. Route CAN Bus through C-channel illustrated in Figure 8 for protection from moving chains and sprockets (same routing as elevator speed cable). Proceed routing CAN Bus to top side of clean grain elevator where it will be accessible to plug into flow sensor. 7. Inside grain tank, install flow sensor with enough length of CAN Bus above flow sensor to make it to connector as shown in Figure 14 on page 17. 8. Secure flow sensor to elevator using provided 1/4 x 5/8 in. bolts, washers and hex nuts. Installation inside grain tank is complete. 26 October 2013 Rev C

At ground level, route CAN Bus harness (and elevator speed cable if it has not already been routed) forward to area under cab near display cable. Secure with zip ties as necessary to keep clear of moving parts. See Figure 25 for cable routing. 10. Connect CAN Bus labeled To Speed Module to display cable. Plug gray female connector of 3 ft. module stub into 4-pin CAN Bus connector of Speed Sensor module. 13. Secure excess CAN Bus under cab near display cable using zip ties. Final Inspection Installation is complete. Walk around combine to verify the following: All cable connections have been made. Ag Leader Combine Installation Operational Checkout An operational checkout cannot be performed until a harvest configuration has been created and activated. Refer to Quick Reference Sheet (see instruction kit) or Operator s Manual for instructions. 1. Press and release power button. 2. Create and activate a harvest configuration. a. Refer to Quick Reference Sheet and/or Operator s Manual. 3. Verify CAN modules are powered and communicating. a. Each module has an LED indicator. It should flash green. b. Flow sensor LED is located on load cell. Most flow sensors have a hole in housing that enables viewing LED without removing sensor. c. The following modules should be listed as CAN devices within the display: 239 SPEED MODULE 240 FLOW SENSOR 244 MOISTURE MODULE 4. Verify the following analog input signals (a, b & c can be verified at the RUN screen, but (d) must be verified through the DIAGNOSTIC screen): a. ELEVATOR SPEED (RPM) signal. 1. Elevator speed should register zero with separator off. 2. Engage separator and header. Display should register RPM value. At full throttle, elevator speed is approximately 425 RPM +/- 50. b. GROUND SPEED (MPH) signal. 1. Ground speed should register zero with combine at rest. 2. Move combine slowly. Display should register MPH value at low speeds (below 1 MPH). NOTE: If using wheels as primary speed sensor, ground speed reading on display may not agree with combine readout until system has been calibrated. c. HEADER HEIGHT (%) signal 1. Raise and lower header. Header height % should increase and decrease respectively. d. TEMPERATURE (C) signal. 1. Temperature in Celsius should be displayed as a value other than zero.
