ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL SOURCE! WARNING To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons, observe the following: Never connect the electrical source until all of the Makeup Stations are completely assembled with Mirrors and Counters in place. Never connect the Makeup Stations to an inadequate electrical circuit. Always have an electrical engineer design or review the circuits to make sure that they comply with electrical codes and anticipated use. Always have a licensed electrician make any electrical connections. Never modify the wiring inside the Makeup Stations. Never allow anyone to use the Makeup Stations until all electrical work is complete and light bulbs are installed. NOTE: Make sure that the Electrical Receptacle on the lower left side of the Mirror is compatible with the end user s country standard. Notes to the Electrician: 1. Wenger Studio Makeup Stations are supplied with conductor leads inside of 24 to 30 inches (60 cm to 75 cm) of flexible armored conduit. This is connected to a 2 x4 x2 (5 cm x 10 cm x 5 cm) connection box, with a cover. The volume of the supplied connection box is 12.8 in 3 (210 cm 3 ). The boxes are intended for use in dry locations only. 2. On-site electrician(s) or electrical contractors are solely responsible for determining the best method for connecting individual stations to the power source branch circuits. Wenger Corporation recommends the use of dedicated individual circuits and terminal block connections that are housed within the supplied box. The on-site electrician must drill holes into the connection box for wall mounting and for the supply branch circuit conductors. 3. In a typical installation, the boxes are mounted to the wall below the Makeup Station desk. Dedicated source conductors are normally supplied directly through the wall or by means of a cable raceway mounted to the wall(s). If the quantity of Makeup Stations to be connected exceeds the number of available dedicated circuits, a qualified electrician should install a separate and dedicated supply panel or sub panel. 4. Wenger Corporation does not supply terminal blocks for connecting the Studio Makeup Stations to the supply branch circuits. Terminal blocks that are used should conform to EN60998-2-1 or EN60998-2-2. Wenger recommends the following: Terminal block connectors should accommodate conductors up to 4mm 2 (#12 AWG) Terminal blocks should be rated for a minimum voltage of 250 VAC. Terminals blocks should be rated for a minimum current capacity of 20 amps. 24

MAINTENANCE BROKEN MIRROR REPLACEMENT To reduce the risk of damage and injury to persons, observe the following: Wear safety glasses and safety shoes. Dispose of broken mirror in a safe manner. Never handle the mirror with bare hands. Two people must work together to avoid injury or damage to the mirror. Do not remove the Counter. Removing the Counter exposes electrical wires. Never strike the mirror. To replace a damaged Mirror, do the following. 1. Remove the broken mirror as follows. a. With one person (wearing work gloves) holding the Mirror in place and a second person using a short phillips screwdriver, remove the two pan head screws that hold the mirror in place. Set the screws aside. b. Using work gloves, slide the broken mirror downward about one inch and then lift the mirror away from the Station and set it aside. MAINTENANCE CONTINUED MIRROR REPLACEMENT CONTINUED 2. Install the new Mirror as follows. a. Remove the new Mirror from the shipping carton and inspect for damage. b. With two people working together, place the Mirror against the Frame about an inch (2 cm) from the top with Mirror Flange at the bottom. c. Slide the Mirror upward until the Mirror Flange contacts the Frame and the top clips engage the Frame. d. With one person holding the Mirror in place, attach the two Pan Head Screws (set aside when the broken Mirror was removed from the Frame) that hold the Mirror to the Frame. Tighten the Pan Head Screws only enough to be snug. Over tightening will strip the threads in the Frame. Slide the Mirror upward until the top clips engage the flange on the Frame. Pan Head Screw Shelf Bottom Surface Mirror Do not remove the Counter. Pan Head Screw LIGHTING For accurate color rendering, Wenger recommends either of the following replacement bulbs. GE Reveal 60 watt or GE Reveal 40 watt incandescent bulbs or equivalent. Full-spectrum, 15-watt, swirl fluorescent bulbs. Always use only 60 watt or smaller incandescent bulbs or 15 watt swirl fluorescent bulbs. Never hang anything near the light bulbs or from the light bulb cages. Always turn the light switch off before replacing bulbs. Always wear gloves when removing a broken bulb. NOTE: Studio Makeup Stations manufactured for 125 VAC power sources (W02 - Japan Standard) require bulbs with E26 bases. Stations with 250 VAC power sources require bulbs with E27 bases. CLEANING 1. Use a soft cotton cloth and a mild detergent to clean the Counter and Shelf. 2. Avoid using harsh, abrasive detergents on the Counter and Shelf. Difficult stains can be removed with a non-abrasive bathtub cleaner. 3. Clean the Mirror with a clean soft cotton cloth and a glass cleaner. 4. To clean residue or dust from bulbs, do as follows. a. Turn the lights off and allow the bulbs to cool. b. Carefully remove the bulbs from the sockets. c. Clean the bulbs with a dampened cloth. d. Reinstall the bulbs.! WARNING Never pour, spray or splash liquids onto the lighting or onto the Mirror Surround. 29
