JDN AIR CRANES JDN offers air driven cranes suitable for working in hazardous areas as standard. The programme includes explosion proof Overhead travelling cranes Underslung cranes Slewing jib cranes According to your requirements JDN air hoists in motor trolleys or monorail design are integrated in the crane design. User friendly pneumatic pendant controls offering two speed or infinitely variable speed control are available depending on the application. All these cranes can be adapted to your individual requirements with complete bespoke installations our speciality. ADVANTAGES OF JDN AIR CRANES Expertise gained over many years in the manufacture and design of pneumatic lifting and control equipment Worldwide service Insensitive to dust, humidity, aggressive atmospheres and temperature range between 20 C and +70 C 100% duty rating of motors for long duty cycles and constant switching Large power reserves due to high starting torque of air motors Fail safe breaking in case of air supply failure Overload protection and emergency stop features Pneumatic controls, also with special functions Special limit switch arrangements for end travel, anti-collision and protected zones Remote radio and special control systems available on request By-pass operations (e.g. intentional by-pass a limit switch) DIFFERENT TYPES OF JDN CRANES IN DETAIL Single or double girder overhead travelling cranes Underslung cranes with special low headroom trolley designs Slewing jib cranes Overhead travelling or underslung cranes with synchronised hoist arrangements Overhead travelling or underslung cranes with parallel hoist arrangements Load capacities up to 50 t Spans up to 18 m JDN Energy Feeding Chain Air driven JDN pillar slewing crane, swl 2.5 t JDN crane designs include our robust chain hoists. Alternatively JDN wire rope hoist units are available with load capacities from 1.25 t to 10 t. Depending on the site conditions the crane is individually designed to suit the customers requirements. For travelling and lifting we utilise our proven JDN air motors. If required we can offer a complete installation, commissioning and servicing package. Special requirements such as material certification to EN 10204 3.1.B are also available on request. Page 5
JDN AIR CRANE KITS For overhead travelling cranes up to 10 t. For crane manufacturers to built explosion-proof air cranes. JDN end carriages can be offered with suitable pneumatic drives. JDN hoists, trolleys and end carriages are explosionproof, enhanced spark resistance optional. JDN energy chains guarantee a secure and space saving guidance of control and energy lines. Up to 4 t: max. span 10 m, up to 10 t: max. span 13 m as standard, other versions on request. Safety accessories as main air emergency stop are standard elements. The junction box is the central element, where the lines for control and air feeding are connected and then directed to the crane drives and the trolley with hoist (via energy chain). energy chain hoses for feeding and control, along main girder connector to energy chain main air emergency stop with maintenance unit junction box and control air distribution energy chain (connection box to trolley; horizontal version) end carriage with 2-speed air motor and buffer main girder (not included) hoist with trolley and pendant control trolley 2-speeds-motor; control of all crane movements main air supply 1/2", 3/4" or 1" 6 bar [87 psi] crane drive (2-speeds air motor) Main components of JDN Crane Kits for overhead travelling cranes Page 6
