Shut off power at the circuit breaker of where the fixture is to be installed. 2. Attach the mounting strap to the outlet box by using two mounting screws. 3. Pull out the outlet wires from the outlet box. Make wire connections using the wire nuts: ---Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black wire from the power source. ---Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white wire from the power source. Carefully put the wires back into the outlet box. 4. Attach the back plate to the mounting strap, secure it with a rubber pad and set screw. 5. With silicone caulking compound, caulk completely around where the back plate meets with the wall surface. CAUTION: Be sure to caulk completely where the back plate meets the wall surface to prevent water from seeping into the outlet box. 6. Push the decorative cover firmly into place. 7. Turn on the power at the main fuse or circuit breaker box. T0068 --- Page 2 / 5
Motion Sensor and LED Light Head Adjustment 1. Loosen the clamp screw in the sensor ball joint and gently rotate the sensor. (See Fig. 1) 2. Walk through the coverage area noting where you are when the lights turn on (also, the LED will flash several times when motion is detected). You can rotate the sensor head up and down, left and right to change the coverage area. (See Fig. 1 and Fig. 2) 3. Adjust the range as need, range set too high may increase false triggering. (See Fig. 3 and Fig. 4) 4. Secure the sensor head by tightening the clamp screw. Do not overtighten the screw. 5. Adjust the LED light heads to left or right by loosening the collars, but do not rotate the LED light heads more than 270 from the original setting. (See Fig. 5) 6. Adjust the LED light heads to up or down by loosening the adjusting handle. (See Fig. 5) 7. Keep the LED lights at least 1 (25mm) away from the sensor. Do not allow the LED light heads to block the lens. Clamp Screw FIG.1 Collar Ball Joint sensor FIG. 3 FIG. 4 sensor FIG. 2 Adjustment Sensor Higher For Long Coverage Adjustment Sensor Lower For Short Coverage FIG. 5 Collar Adjusting Handle Function and Operation MODES OF OPERATION Choose a mode by sliding the switch on the bottom of the sensor of the fixture. (See FIG.7 on page 3) Note: When power is first applied, the light will be turned on immediately. Wait for 60 seconds to allow the sensor to warm up. 1. TEST MODE (daytime and nighttime operation.) The wall wash lights will brighten when the switch located on TEST position. The sensor will turn the heads light on automatically when motion is detected, and stays on as long as the motion is continuing. After about 5 seconds of motion is no longer detected, the heads light will turn off automatically. 2. OFF MODE (nighttime operation only; on at dusk, off at dawn) In the night, the sensor will turn all lights on automatically when motion is detected, and stays on as long as the motion is continuing. When the motion stops, the lights will remain on for the predetermined time as you set (5 or 180 seconds), then all lights will turn off automatically. Lights will turn off automatically at dawn. 3. AUTO MODE (nighttime operation only; on at dusk, off at dawn) Wall wash light will turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn automatically. Heads light turn on automatically when motion is detected and stays on as long as the motion is continuing. When the motion stops, the heads light will turn off automatically after the predetermined time as you set up (5 to 180 seconds). Lights will turn off automatically at dawn. T0068---- --- Page 3 / 5
4. PC` MODE (nighttime operation only; on at dusk, off at dawn) The lights will brighten at dusk. Lights will turn off automatically at dawn Fig.6 Manual Override Operation Diagram 5. Manual Override (nighttime operation only; on at dusk, off at dawn) Set the switch at OFF or AUTO position, the light will be turn on in all night by switching the power off for 0.5 seconds~3 seconds then on again. Turn the power off for 5 seconds, the light will return to OFF mode or AUTO mode. (See Fig.6) Light will turn off automatically at dawn. CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS: Shut-off Delay The Shut-off delay is the time of the light will stay at brightness after motion has ceased to be detected. This Shut-off delay can be set by using the TIMER knob located on the left side of the panel at the bottom of the sensor (See Fig.7). To increase shut-off delay, slide the knob clockwise. To decrease shut off delay, turn the knob counterclockwise. The light will stay on as long as motion is detected and will automatically turn off when no more motion is detected after the delay time has passed. OFF Mode AUTO Mode Turn wall switch OFF-ON in 0.5~3 Seconds Turn wall switch OFF over 5 Seconds and then turn ON again FIG.7 (View from Bottom of Sensor) Fig.7 Manual Override Sensitivity of Motion Sensor The sensitivity of the motion sensor can be adjusted using the SENSITIVITY knob located on the right side of the panel at the bottom of the sensor (See Fig. 7). To increase sensitivity, slide the knob clockwise. To decrease sensitivity, slide the knob counterclockwise. The sensitivity may be adjusted from a minimum of 10 feet to a maximum of 60 feet. NOTE: 1. The sensitivity of the motion sensor will increase as the environmental temperature gets cooler. You may wish to make adjustments when the season changes temperature. For best performance. Gently clean the lens with a soft cloth every 1 or 2 months to assure maximum sensitivity. 2. The magnitude of adjustment for sensitivity and time may not be precisely proportionate to the amount the knob is turned. 3. For best performance, install fixture at least 6 feet above the Where you install your fixture is important: Be sure the light is mounted straight on the wall; otherwise, the detection distance may be limited. ground. At such a height, the fixture will provide a detection distance of up to 60 feet at 77 degrees Fahrenheit. (See FIG.8) 4. The sensor detects across a detection range of 240 degrees. (See FIG.9) 5. The sensor will be more sensitive to motion across its detection path than motion directly towards it. (See FIG.10) 6. To reduce possible nuisances, do not mount the fixture near a heat source like an air conditioner, vent or furnace exhaust, or in a direction facing any reflecting object or other light source. 13.0' 6.0' 10' Fig.8 60' 240' Fig.9 Fig.10 Motion Motion Least sensitive Sensor Most sensitive T0068 --- Page 4 / 5
Troubleshooting ---The light does not come on at all: 1. Make sure the wall switch and circuit breaker are on. 2. Make sure the wiring is correct. 3. Cover the sensor with dark color cloth to verify that the ambient light level is not too high. ---In TEST Mode, the light stays on over 5 seconds after motion is no longer detected: 1. Make sure the slide switch is at the TEST position. 2. Cover the sensor with a dark color cloth to verify that motion is not detected. ---In OFF Mode, the light stays on over 180 seconds after motion is no longer detected: 1. Make sure there is not motion could be detected by the sensor. 2. Make sure of that mode entry is not in manual override. ---In AUTO Mode, the light stays on over 180 seconds after motion is no longer detected: 1. Make sure there is no movement that could be picked up by the sensor. 2. Make sure of that mode entry is not in manual override. ---In PC` Mode, the light stays on after dawn: 1. Whether the ambient light level is too low. ---In Manual override, the light stays on after dawn: 1. Whether the ambient light level is too low. ---If the sensor out of the ball joint, loose the clamp screw and push the sensor back into the ball joint. Tighten the clamp screw when done.
