Oakey Solar Farm Project Status Locations g Development Approval received in 2015 for Oakey (80MW AC ) with 6 year expire date. Grid connection application under way with connection agreement expected by Dec 2016. Oakey Solar Farm is approximately 7km to connection point (33kV). Site assessments completed (Geotech, flood, biodiversity, grid connection studies site survey). Singleaxis tracker system to be used. On site solar monitoring available via MET station since November 2013. Oakey Solar Farm Location: A few kilometres West of Oakey on the Dalmeny farm Snapshot Oakey Project Capacity 90MW (S1 = 30MW & S2 = 60MW) Site area 150 ha Forecast Output 190 GWh (powering 25,000 QLD homes) Expected Operating Date March 2018 Network Access Ergon Energy
Oakey Solar Farm Project is evaluated under a Government funded program (ARENA Large Scale Solar). 20 projects are shortlisted and the lowest bidder wins. Project application was submitted 15 th June 2016 and outcomes are expected in September. If successful in the ARENA program then possible construction start in Q1 2017. 10-12 month construction timeframe. In total around 100-120 people on site; in construction stages. Key driver is the Government Renewable Energy Target (up to 2030).
