SMART 1000 / 2000 SERIES Hybrid Power Inverter-Charger-UPS -Control Unit* The SMART 1000/2000 is a fully integrated solution for Renewable power systems like solar, wind, hydro and conventional energy sources. Whatever your application - stand-alone alternative energy or utility tie - SMART POWERSYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL s SMART 1000/2000 series: Sine Wave Inverter, charger, UPS will provide unparalleled value and is the best choice for power systems, when effi ciency, power and economical considerations are of prime importance. 1200/2200 Watts Sine Wave Continuous Power The built-in true sine wave inverter can be obtained in 220-240V AC / 50Hz or 110-120V AC / 60Hz performance*. The inverter will produce up to 1200/2200 Watts of standard household electrical power and can start and run appliances up to 3300/4500 Watts surge power. The SMART 1000/2000 series makes the most of the battery power available by operating loads at high effi ciencies and by consuming minimum power under no-load conditions. Load compensated circuitry delivers all the energy your battery bank can safely provide, but shuts down the inverter if your batteries approach dangerous low discharge levels. 20 Amps, 12V DC Power In addition to AC power supply, the SMART 1000/2000 disposes also on a built-in DC-DC (24V/12V) converter for connection of 12V DC appliances up to 20 Amps. In case of application of the SMART 1000/2000 in grid remote areas, this power source is ideal and most energy saving for the operation of DC refrigerators, DC TV and DC lighting. Built-In Battery Chargers for AC Grid / Generator and DC Solar The SMART 1000/2000 is provided with built-in powerful battery chargers for AC grid / generator (20A / 24V) and solar arrays up to 2000 Wp at. The charge controllers include switch settings for fl ooded lead-acid and sealed gel type batteries to ensure the most accurate charge control process for each battery type. When the batteries are fully charged, the chargers automatically switch to fl oat mode which then maintains the batteries in a fully charged condition. Description of Features Stand-Alone Power Mode (Grid Remote Areas) The SMART 1000/2000 System comes factory ready in a plug and play performance to electrify grid-independently homesteads, offi ces, hospitals, schools, etc.. Simply connect the SMART 1000/2000 to a battery bank, hook up your AC or DC loads and turn it on. Add solar PV, wind- / hydrogenerators or additional charging sources (for wind, hydro, additional sources external charge regulators are needed) to your SMART 1000/2000 system and become truly independent. The SMART 1000/2000 will convert this clean energy into useful household electricity. Furthermore to save the valuable energy generated by the Renewables a search mode system is integrated in the SMART 1000/2000 to reduce during no-load conditions the inverter s stand-by consumption considerably. If you want to have a 100% safe energy supply at any time - e.g. in case battery charging by the Renewables is not suffi cient or you need more power capacity for a short time - you can also add a AC sine wave fuel generator to the SMART System and supply directly by passing through the generator s energy to your individual AC grid while simultaneously battery charging occurs. During this time the inverter is on stand-by to be reconnected automatically and immediately (transfer time: 10-12ms) to the individual AC grid when the generator stops. Automatic Operation Mode, Uninterrupted Power Supply (Grid Connected Areas) Plug into utility power or your AC sine wave generator system, and the SMART 1000/2000 starts charging the batteries and automatically transfers power to your individual AC grid. It charges rapidly and completely without overcharging and maintains a full charge indefi nitely. When your AC input power fails, transfer to inverter power is automatically and typically within 10 to 12ms (UPS) to keep lights, phone, appliances and computers running without missing a beat. System Monitoring On the front panel of the SMART 1000/2000 AC and DC voltage and current meters as well as bar graph displays provide battery level information and indicate the connected and active charging sources in an easy to understand format. Internationally recognized graphic symbols provide instant feedback. Protection In the AC (inverter) or DC (converter) mode, the SMART 1000/2000 automatically turns off to prevent batteries from running seriously low (deep cycling). The system ensures long battery life and is compatible with both sealed gel type or liquid lead acid type batteries.
