Larry King Law s Langley Speedway 2018 Super Truck Division Rules Amendments: Rules are subject to amendments at any time when ample notice has been given to enhance competition 1. COMPETING MODELS A. The following 1975 and later single cam, standard cab, standard bed and two wheel drive trucks are approved 1. Chevrolet S-10 2. Ford Courier and Ranger 3. Dodge Ram D-50 and Dakota 4. Nissan and Datsun 5. Mitsubishi 6. Mazda 7. Toyota Note: under engines 23A Factory or aftermarket engine parts are allowed as long as they are the same as the original design for make and model truck used 2. BODIES A. Must be neat in appearance with original dimensions as manufactured. Body panels must be factory stock or an approved replacement. No rocker panel extensions. Body bushings may be removed B. Fenders may be cut and neatly rolled for tire clearance, but must follow original bodylines C. Doors must be welded or bolted shut, door reinforcements may be removed. All reinforcements and jams inside the driver s compartment may be removed. Aftermarket replacement door skins may be used D. Bed floor, inner bed side panels and wheel wells may be removed. Bed front and outer bed sides must remain stock except trimming for tire clearance. Aftermarket replacement bed side skins may be used. E. Hood may have fabricated hinges. Hood must be secured with three magnetic steel securing pins across the front. Hood reinforcements may be removed F. Tailgates may be welded shut or pinned for fuel cell access. Tailgate may be a fabricated skin using standard sheet metal G. Sheet metal may be installed from the top of the tailgate to the bottom of the rear fender wells. An aluminum panel may be used to make a bed cover. The panel must be riveted to the top of the bed rails with rivets. The bed cover must have one hinged access panel over the fuel cell area. The access panel must be secured with a piano type hinge and be located within the width of the roll bars. All access panels must be secured with at least 2 securing pins no other fasteners permitted. Bed cover must be used when bed floor and inner bed sides removed H. Spoiler must be no longer than the width of the tailgate and no more than 5" high. Spoiler angle must be between 50 and 70 degrees

I. Bumpers may be made of round steel tubing. Step bumpers are not allowed. Bumpers may not extend beyond the body sides. Rear bumper must have down bars and up bars for fuel cell protection K. Aftermarket Noses Permitted. No Fiberglass 3. GLASS A. All glass must be removed. Front and rear windshields must be replaced with clear Lexan or Plexiglas. All rear window openings must have 2-1 x 1/8 straps. All straps must be secured with 5/16 bolts B. All trucks must have a rear view mirror. Mirror must not extend beyond outer edge of door or "A" post C. An approved fire retardant window net must be installed in the driver s side window opening. Window net must be installed by using no less than 1/2 inch magnetic steel round bar or 1 by 1/8 flat bar. See track officials if you have questions 4. ROLL CAGE A. Complete approved roll cage including roof center bar (Petty Bar), a "A Pillar" bar on both sides of the truck and a windshield center bar (Earnhart bar) B. Roll cage must be centered on frame rail or centered on roll bar frame rail extenders C. All bars within drivers reach must be padded D. Two bars must extend from the top of the rear vertical hoop to the rear of the frame in front of the tailgate. No additional air deflectors or spoilers may be attached to these bars E. A 0.090 magnetic steel plate attached to driver s side door bars is required 5. SEATS AND BELTS A. Only aluminum seats are permitted and must be secured by using 6 bolts. 4-3/8 inch bolts in the bottom and 2 3/8 inch bolts in the top. No fiberglass seats allowed. Seats may not be lightened B. A set of quick release belt, shoulder harness, and crotch belt no less than three inches wide and less than three years old. See track officials if you have questions C. Each driver is required to wear a fire resistant uniform, gloves and accessories. Driver should wear a full face helmet with Snell numbers SA 2000 or SA 2005 standard Snell and/or a valid SFI 31.1, SFI 31.2 or SFI 31.1/2005 label at all times on the race track. HEAD AND NECK RESTRAINT DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONAL MOTORSPORTS USE IS REQUIRED

6. FUEL AND FUEL CELL A. Racing fuel permitted. No additives allowed. B. An approved 8 or 12 - gallon fuel cell required. C. The fuel cell and the fuel cell container must be fastened behind the rear axles and centered between the rear frame rails in a recessed well of not less than 24 gage (0.025 inch thick) magnetic sheet steel welded or attached to the frame rails. The fuel cell must maintain a minimum of nine inches from the cell to the ground. The fuel cell container, installed in the recessed well, welded or attached to the frame rails, from the top, must be secured on the top by a flat fuel cell top rack made of one (1) inch by one (1) inch by 0.065 inch minimum thick square magnetic steel tubing. The flat fuel cell top rack must consist of two (2) tubes lengthwise and two (2) crosswise equally spaced across the top of the fuel cell container. The front and rear fuel cell cross members must be constructed using a one (1) inch wide by one (1) inches in height with a minimum wall thickness of 0.065 inch magnetic steel tubing. The bottom support frame must be constructed using three (3) tubes, one (1) inch by one (1) inch with a minimum wall thickness of 0.065 inch square magnetic steel tubing and must be equally spaced across the recessed well. These tubes must be welded or bolted to the fuel cell front and rear cross members. The support tubes must extend down the front and rear equally spaced and under the fuel cell container recessed well. A reinforcement bar 1-1/2 inches in diameter and with a minimum wall thickness of 0.083 inch magnetic steel tubing, must extend a minimum of 6 inches behind the fuel cell and welded between the sub-frame rails. D. Fuel line must be labeled E. Fuel line installed inside a steel conduit through the driver's compartment is permitted F. Fuel cell must be completely enclosed in and approved steel box 7. FRAMES A. Truck must maintain a minimum ground clearance of 6" with driver. 8. SUSPENSION A. No modifications except racing springs and up to a 1 ½ diameter sway bar B. All bushings must be stock replacement. Rear springs may use the manufacturesupplied bushings. Aftermarket non-sliding leaf springs permitted. Front mount must remain in the stock location and have stock measurement C. Adjustable spring spacers permitted on front only. Jacking bolts are not allowed. D. Factory heavy-duty front sway bar with stock mounting hardware and one magnetic steel adjustable end permitted E. Two (2) inch standard drop spindles permitted. Drop spindles may not be altered and must be the same left to right. Front spring buckets may be modified to accept a 5" spring F. Angled or Wedge type rear lowering blocks are approved. Blocks must maintain the same dimensions on both sides, no offset. Blocks must be constructed of 3/16th steel tubing or solid aluminum G. Maximum RF camber 5 ½ degrees

9. SHOCK ABSORBERS A. Only stock non-adjustable replacement shocks allowed B. Shocks must mount in original position C. Off-road, Racing or Special application shocks are not permitted D. Shocks must retail for $75 or less 10. STEERING A. Steering shaft must have at least one u-joint between steering wheel and firewall B. Quick release steering wheel with padded center is required 11. REAR AXLE A. Stock production differentials, housings and axles only B. No limited-slip devices are allowed C. Welded axle gears or mini spools only 12. DRIVE SHAFT A. Steel standard production with a minimum diameter of 2 3/4 B. Drive shaft must be painted white C. Two "U" shaped steel straps 2" wide and 1/4" thick must surround shaft and be fastened to the floor or cross member 13. TRANSMISSION A. Transmission must remain standard production with all gears in working order B. Automatic transmissions are allowed C. Only one gearshift lever permitted in driver's compartment 14. CLUTCH ASSEMBLY A. Clutch and flywheel must remain stock standard production for engine used B. No aluminum or lightweight parts allowed 15. BELL HOUSING A. Aftermarket steel bell housing is recommended B. A minimum of 3" x 4" inspection hole must be in lower half of housing 16. BRAKES A. Stock standard production only B. No aluminum, lightened, or drilled rotors or drums C. No adjustable brake balance devices D. Brake pedal must not be extended E. Rear disc brakes are not allowed

17. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM A. Stock production distributor. Aftermarket coil permitted. Multi-spark system not permitted. GM trucks will be permitted to use the MSD part number 83647 circuit board B. A master on-off switch on battery cable must be located in center of dash C. Battery must be mounted in bed area inside frame rails. Must not be mounted in driver's compartment D. Starter must be in working order. Aftermarket or lightweight starters not allowed 18. COOLING SYSTEM A. No extra water lines to heads, block, or intake permitted B. Electric fans are permitted C. Fan must be wired to Battery on/off switch D. Aluminum pulleys are permitted 19. LUBRICATION A. Stock appearing steel oil pan required. Oil Pan maybe extended to allow for additional oil capacity. B. Windage tray and baffles permitted. Crank wipers are not permitted 20. TIRES AND WHEELS A. Track spec tires B. Any steel wheel not exceeding 7" in width with a maximum offset of 1/2" C. All wheels must be the same size and offset. D. Tire Alterations for the Super truck division at Langley Speedway is NOT permitted. Once the season starts there will be a durometer number set. If tires are in question the top 6 drivers in driver points along with the Technical Director will inspect the tires and make a ruling or the tires will be sent out to be chemically tested. The final decision will be made by the Technical Director and possible disqualification and or fine could be accessed. Director and possible disqualification and or fine could be accessed. Tire manufactures have issued the following statement; "NEVER attempt to chemically treat or alter the tire carcass and/or tread compound of any Racing Tire; such as tire "soaking" or use of tread "softener". This practice could result in premature or catastrophic tire failure with resulting serious injury or death." 21. WEIGHT A. All trucks must maintain a minimum weight of one pound per c.c. of engine displacement, with a minimum weight of 2,500 lbs B. Engine displacement must be on both sides of hood C. All added weight must be securely bolted, painted white and have your truck number D. Weight must not hang below bottom of frame. Weight must be mounted between the frame rails and between the front spindles and the rear hubs E. No added weight allowed in driver's compartment F. Fuel cannot be added after race to obtain weight G. Trucks will be weighed with driver in a driving position

22. ENGINE LOCATION A. Must be in stock location B. Motor mounts may be reinforced with steel gussets C. Chains permitted 23. ENGINES A. Factory or aftermarket engine parts are allowed as long as they are the same as the original design for make and model truck used B. Only inline 4 cylinder. Engines with a maximum displacement of 2600 c.c. Plus.040"overbore allowed C. May run any engine in any model truck up to 2600cc D. No factory or aftermarket high performance parts allowed unless listed below E. Crankshaft must be stock standard production with stock stroke 24. CAM SHAFT A. Camshaft may be hydraulic or mechanical B. Stock diameter non-roller lifters required C. Stock ratio roller rocker arms permitted D. Stud girdles are not permitted 25. INTAKE MANIFOLD A. Stock or aftermarket with No polishing or grinding allowed B. A one-inch adapter plate and the Comp Cams #96003 vibration adapter plate arepermitted. The adapter plate may be welded or bolted to the intake manifold to accept the 2300 series Holley Carburetor C. Adapter plate must measure same at top and bottom 26. EXHAUST A. Any stock production cast iron manifold permitted B. Headers permitted C. Exhaust pipe must exit the truck beneath the frame rail. Maximum exhaust pipe diameter 2 ½ inches 27. CYLINDER HEADS A. Ports must not be machined, cut, deburred, polished, or painted B. Cast finish must remain as manufactured C. Casting numbers must not be altered or removed D. Screw-in rocker studs permitted E. Must have standard production three-angle valve seat F. Heads may not be angle cut and valve angle must not be changed G. Valves must have stock stem diameter H. Titanium valves not permitted I. Valves must have stock head diameter for cylinder head used

28. CARBURETORS A. ONLY BOX STOCK Holley 2300 Series part # 7448 Allowed, this is a Holley 350 cfm, 2 bbl. No alterations except: 1. Removal of choke hardware. 2. All vacuum ports must be tapped and plugged. 3. A single check ball and spring may be installed under "Stock" squirter 4.1 hole may be drilled in butterflies for idling. 5. Center section surfaces may be decked or trued. 6. The vibration adapter part # ooooooo is permitted B. Only one gasket no more than 1/4" thick may be used between carburetor and intake C. If any part of carburetor is found illegal, complete carburetor must be surrendered D. Electric fuel pump permitted only on engines with no provision for a mechanical pump E. An oil pressure kill switch must be installed when using electric pump F. No Tapered Venturi, No Grinding or Polishing G. May Replace Ball and spring under Pump Squirter 29. AIR CLEANER A. Top and bottom of filter housing must be metal and be the same diameter as element B. Paper or K&N style filter elements with a maximum of 14" diameter and a maximum of 4" height permitted 30. FIRE CONTROL A. An approved and fully charged fire extinguisher must be securely mounted within easy reach of driver B. Gauge must be mounted where officials can read C. All race teams will have at least one (1), fully charged, dry chemical fire extinguisher in their pit, exposed and accessible at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, pit road or the outside pit area. The extinguisher will be at least 10-B:C, DOT rated and be a minimum of 4 lb capacity. A valid, fully charged pressure gauge shall be visible at all times 31. IDENTIFICATION: A. YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR NUMBER AT THE TRACK OFFICE TO BE ELIGIBLE TO RACE. B. Numbers at least 18" high must be both sides and roof C. Silver and Gold foil reflective numbers are not allowed 32. POST RACE INSPECTION A. Trucks found illegal will be disqualified and will forfeit all prize money, awards and points earned for that event B. Illegal parts must be surrendered to the track official in charge. Parts not surrendered will be cause for a fine and possible suspension from future events
