Welcome to A NEW WAY TO GO CAR2GO allows you to enjoy an electric car that is environmentally friendly, at any hour when you need it. How do you recognize our electric cars meant for one way driving? They have a blue wave sticker on them. The cars are spread throughout the streets of Haifa in designated and saved parking spots. The car nearby is available? Awesome, you can order it, and drive where you want, park in any designated parking spot and continue with your day. Payment is calculated by minute, and the drive must start within 15 minutes of the car being ordered. The car will be available to you without having to worry about upkeep, insurance and parking. Simple, spontaneous, flexible and worthwhile- just like you love it. What Do I Need To Do To be on my way? Download the CAR2GO One Way application Do a damages check on the car and let us know if need be Do not bring animals into the car and no smoking Return the car clean to one of the designated parking spots Return the car with at least 15% battery Only someone who is a registered driver with us can drive in our cars Our electric cars are very quiet. Please note- pedestrians may not hear you coming. Please be careful. Separating the car from the charging station is done in 3 simple steps and you re READY2GO. HOW DOES IT WORK? A 5 minute registration and you are a part of thousands of people that share vehicles, save time and money. In our app all of the available cars will be shown on a map. As registered users you can choose whichever available car you d like. Clicking on a car in our app will bring you to the screen where you can order the car you chose for 15 minutes. You may reserve the car for l onger than 15 minutes, at an additional cost. Press the Arrived at the Car button and enter your personal pin number or press your smart card to the front windshield until the door opens. Before you start the engine, check the car over for damages. Start the engine by pressing the Start Engine button (there is no key). We have saved parking spots spread throughout the city. At the end of your drive park in any of the available designated parking spots that appear on the app, turn off the car, close the windows and lights, lock the doors and press the Finished Drive button.
DAMAGES CHECK Let us know, before the start of your drive, of any new damage on the car, dirt, bad smell or any issue relating to issues in the car by using the report area in our app. In addition, in every car you will find a Damages folder where the damages that have been reported to us will appear. Mark the new damage on the sheet and call us to get the OK. A moment of solidarity: Your cooperation in regards to the damages checks and issues in the car is really important to us in order to fix any issues and make our service better. Please note, starting the engine is a sign that the car is in good condition, clean and without any damages and your responsibility. DURING THE DRIVE Stopovers Running errands and need to make a stop on the way? Park, turn off the car, press the Stopover button and get out to run your errands. At the end of your stopover return to the car and continue your drive. The cost of a minute during a stopover is 50% of the cost of a minute of driving. During a stopover you must park in accordance with the laws of the city and only in legal parking spots. We are emphasizing that parking during the use of our cars is your responsibility. We sign all of our customers up for a parking service (Pango). The service allows you to pay for the time you parked. You should know that parking in Haifa is free for the first two hours. In that case, when leaving Haifa, it is your responsibility to start and end the Pango. Starting and ending Pango can be done through their application or by calling *4500 > *2 > 1 > wait for the instructions. Or in our app. Please note, in every car there is a clock for the free two hours of parking in our electric cars. Stopped on the way, reset the clock and you won t have to start Pango. One click in our app or pressing the call button in our cars, and within seconds you will receive a response from our service center via the hands free speaker. We are available for you 24/7. PARKING AND ENDING YOUR DRIVE The CAR2GO saved parking spots all over Haifa are available for parking the One Way model cars (with the blue wave) at the end of your use. Finished driving? Remember to press the Finish Drive button in the car or in the app. Pressing the button stops the meter and releases the car to other users. Before Leaving the Car Please Check That... The car is clean The car is parked in a CAR2GO parking spot The car is turned off You gathered all your personal items from the car The lights are turned off, mirrors are folded and the windows are closed You pressed the Finish Drive button in the app or in the car The doors are locked (with the help of our app or smart card) Important to remember: Please follow all of these steps even if another customer is waiting to use the car. CANCELING AN ORDER In order to have a car available to you, we have set up a system in order to stop customers canceling their orders often and at the last minute. Every user is able to cancel up to 5 times, for free. The sixth cancellation and on will require a fee.
Important Things to Remember Accidents and Damages Bumper got scraped, someone hit you (not on us)? It happens to everyone and we are here for you in these moments. Stay in place and contact us right away so we can instruct you. In addition, you can find in the folder in the car an accident and damages report that you are required to fill out and send to us within 24 hours. Pictures and videos will help everyone involved to understand what happened. Please note: it is your responsibility to get the full contact information from the involved parties. COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER INSURANCE In order to avoid paying the deductibles in the event of damage or an accident, as described in the contract, we recommend that you join our Collision Damage Waiver Insurance to enjoy the peace of mind everytime you drive. CREDITS AND CHARGES In order to make it as easy as possible, we have organized on our website, an appendix to the contract with all of the costs, refunds and special circumstances that can have different costs and extra charges, specifically those that have to do with your CAR2GO account.
WHAT IS FORBIDDEN TO DO IN OUR CARS Smoking We don t really have to expand on this one, right? Pets in the Car We love animals but it is absolutely forbidden to bring animals into our cars. Not even a cat, dog, turtle, hamster... you get the idea right? Moving Violations Avoid driving in lanes meant only for public transportation and make sure to keep your distance, follow the right of way and drive politely. These are always good ideas but especially in our cars. Returning the car dirty Made a mess? No worries, just clean it up and it ll pass :). Anyway, it is your responsibility to return the car clean and nice, just like you would like to receive the car. Breaking the Community Rules It is forbidden to give your personal smart card to someone, to let someone who is not a member drive, send us a fake report or not follow the rules of usage.
THE CAR2GO MODELS We have two models for ordering cars: One Way- By-the-Minute Vehicles from Point A to Point B- The vehicles in this model have a Blue Wave sticker on them. They are electric and can be reserved last minute. You can take them wherever you like and leave them in any dedicated parking spot reserved for the blue wave vehicles throughout the city. You can find available parking spots and available vehicles using our app. As soon as you reserved a vehicle, you have 15 minutes to open the door (after 15 minutes have passed, additional pre-reservation time is subject to charges). You can find any information you need about this model on our website. Round Trip- Time and Distance-Based Reservations for Round Trips- The vehicles in this model all have red wave stickers. All red wave vehicles have a single dedicated parking spot where you will start and end your trip. You determine ahead of time when you will take the vehicle and when you will return it. You can reserve the vehicle right before your trip or up to two months ahead of time, whatever is convenient for you. Do you have a long trip or a lot of errands to run? Want the car for a few hours? This is the model for you. Charges are calculated based on the time and distance traveled in the car, according to the rates in your plan. Just call *8255 Modifications to the User Guide and Service Rates CAR2GO reserves the right to modify and correct the contract and service rates from time to time. In the event that such a change is made, all CAR2GO users will receive email notification regarding all of the changes that are being implemented within 14 days of the day on which the changes are made. In addition, a copy of the new contract and rates will be published on the company website. Validity The contract will remain valid even in the event that one or more components of the contract are deemed illegal, unenforceable or invalid. In the event that a condition is in fact found to be illegal as stated above, it will be rendered invalid.
