Overview Super Gal The Super Gal is an innovative 3 plastic valve designed for greenhouse, nursery and drip irrigation, agriculture and landscape applications. Designed for a variety of water control applications, the Super Gal is made out of sturdy, durable, corrosion resistant, high-quality materials. Equipped with a direct-sealing diaphragm, the Super Gal is operated by the pressure in the pipeline and is manufactured in a variety of models including throttling, built-in solenoid operator, various end connection options, and more. Technical Data Super Gal Principle Of Operation 3 Way Control The control device is used to either admit pressure into the control chamber to close the valve, or to relief pressure to the atmosphere to allow the valve to open. 2 Way Electric-Control A solenoid operator plugs the control chamber s outlet. A permanent connection from the upstream through a labyrinth restriction ensures line pressure into the chamber closing the valve. Energizing the solenoid operator opens a drain to the downstream, allowing the valve to open. Super Gal Typical Applications M Manually Controlled Valve The valve is controlled manually by a three port selector that allows the user to select the closed, open or remotecontrolled position of the valve. The control is effortless and quick, even under high pressure conditions. ED2 2-way Electric Valve Electrically actuated, normally-closed valve with integral solenoid operator. The valve is designed for maximal simplicity for greenhouse and field irrigation, controlled by an electronic controller. Can be supplied with AC, DC or DC-Latch operators. Manual override is enabled through an integral lever. EL(D3) 3-way Electric Valve A 3-way solenoid valve, activated by electric current or an electric pulse (latch), opens or closes the main valve. The standard valve is supplied as Normally Closed ( Normally Open is optional). Electric actuation can be added to other control applications on request. RC Hydraulic Remote Controlled Valve The valve will open or close upon a pressure command sent to a relay-valve from a local or remote control center. This application enables the solenoid valves to be located in one convenient center reduces the installation costs and protecting the solenoid valves from lightnings or accidental damage. PR Pressure Reducing Valve The valve maintains a preset downstream pressure, regardless of upstream pressure or flow rate fluctuation. The valve allows full opening when upstream pressure drops below the pressure set-point. PS Pressure Sustaining & Relief Valve The valve maintains upstream pressure, regardless of flow rate variations. The valve will close if the upstream pressure drops below the set-point and will fully open when the upstream pressure exceeds the set-point. 6

Typical Applications Super Gal PR/EL Electrically-activated Pressure Reducing Valve Designed to open and regulate downstream pressure to a stable preset value upon electric command from an irrigation controller. Electric command may be of constant current or pulse, as determined by the controller in use. PR/RC Hydraulically-activated Pressure Reducing Valve Designed to open and regulate downstream pressure to a stable preset value upon a hydraulic command delivered through a control tube. This application enables locating the solenoid valve at one convenient point and reduces the risk of lightning strike damages to the system. PR/PS Pressure Reducing / Sustaining Valve The valve will maintain a preset upstream pressure as well as reduce downstream pressure to required safe value. If upstream pressure is higher than its preset value and downstream pressure is lower than its preset value, the valve will be fully open to allow minimal head losses. PS/EL Electrically-activated Pressure Sustaining Valve The valve is a normally-closed, electrically actuated, upstream pressure regulating valve. When energized, the valve will open to sustain the upstream pressure at a fixed, pre-adjusted value, regardless of flow rate variations. The valve will close drip tight when the solenoid valve is de-energized or in case the upstream pressure is lower than the set-value. FR Flow Control Valve The valve limits the flow rate in the network to a preset, value regardless of upstream pressure variations. The valve fully opens when the flow rate drops below the set point. FL Modulating Float Controlled Valve The main valve is controlled by a float valve, located in the tank or reservoir and set at the required maximum water level. The valve maintains the maximum level continuously. 7
