Lambert & Fils is a Montreal-based lighting design studio founded in 2010 by Samuel Lambert. The studio s original and custom lamps for residential and commercial settings take cues from mid-century Modernism, the Industrial Age, and Lambert s own minimalist aesthetic. The studio revisits iconic motifs across the range of these influences to create its own distinctive collections. Along with Lambert, the studio s small group of designers collaborate in the creation of a constellation of floor, wall, and suspended lamps using brass, powder coated aluminum, and marble. The studio extends its collection through a constant exploration of new materials, forms, and applications. With a contemporary take on its inspirations, Lambert & Fils commits itself to a tradition of quality, in-house design, and craftsmanship in lighting.

BEAUBIEN COLLECTION The Beaubien Collection s strong black lines bend in and out of space, moving effortlessly between simplicity and ornamentation. Round and cubic brass connectors complete the lamps structures and add a rich material contrast to the powder coated rods. The collection s industrial and graphic aesthetic is imbued with a palette of influences, from traditional Chinese screens to the Memphis movement. Each influence strengthens the collection, creating nuance within its timeless character.

CLARK COLLECTION The Clark is a task lamp that pushes the limits of form without sacrificing functionality. Using cut and bent sheet brass, a structure and a shade are created. An angled marble block anchors this brass form to create a subtle play of angles throughout the lamp. The two surfaces of the shade both block and reflect the lamp s light source, casting an even wash of light on any table. Echoing the shape of a classic desk lamp, the Clark seamlessly blends the adventurous and the familiar.
