.COM 2016 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Typical cable routing for 12 Fiber Optice Splice Module or 24 Fiber Optice Splice Module Route sub-unit tube(s) through retention bridge as shown. Route 900µm buffered fiber from the trunk cable and splice to pigtail. Use enough cable length, approximately 1.2m (47") to ensure one complete loop of individual fibers around FHD-FOSM slack spools. Pigtails leading to FAPs should be a minimum of 1m (39.4"). Figure 3 Figure 4 Page 3 of 6
.COM 2016 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FHD-1UFCE and FHD-2UFCE Fiber Optic Splice Module Installation If 4 or 8 FHD-FOSMs are to be installed in the FHD-1UFCE or FHD-2UFCE, side latches on top module must be broken off to close the enclosure drawer. shown. Once mounted, fully seat fasteners to secure. Figure 5 Fully extend drawer to ensure proper amount of slack is used. Finish splicing in each FHD-FOSM before adding/stacking subsequent FHD-FOSMs. (cables omitted for clarity) Figure 5A Page 4 of 6
.COM 2016 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FHD-4UFCE Fiber Optic Splice Module Installation Place FHD-FOSM holder over M4 studs on sliding tray, secure with M4*8 hex nut. Remaining FHD-FOSMs are stacked on top of each other and snap in place after termination of lower tray. shown. Once mounted, fully seat to secure FAPs. Fully extend tray to ensure proper amount of slack is used. Finish splicing in each FHD-FOSM before adding/stacking subsequent FHD-FOSMs. (cables omitted for clarity). Figure 6 Page 5 of 6
.COM 2016 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FHD-2UFRME and FHD-4UFRME-N Fiber Optic Splice Module Installation Place first FHD-FOSM over M4 studs on sliding tray, and secure with M4*8 hex nut. Remaining FHD-FOSMs are stacked on top of each other and snap in place after termination of lower tray. shown. Once mounted, fully seat to secure FAPs. Figure 7 FHD-1UFMT-N and FHD-2UFMT Fiber Optic Splice Module Installation To remove top cover (not shown), remove screw at rear of enclosure, slide cover back and off. Utilizing double stick tape on underside, place first FHD-FOSM into tray. Remaining FOSMs are stacked on top of each other and snap in place after termination of lower tray. Figure 8 If 4 FHD-FOSMs are to be installed in the FHD-1UFMT-N, side latches on top module must be broken off to close enclosure drawer. shown. Once mounted, fully seat to secure FAPs. Page 6 of 6
