HI Disassembly Open batt door Tube change tool / batt door removal tool p/n 16749900 Insert removal tool into batt door Push tool upwards like closing batt door until the door unhitch from the hinges Using pin removal tool, push the one pin that holds the housing. Use the inner side of the HI as the starting point Remove the pin Using pin removal tool to push the middle part of the filter to remove it from HI Page 8 of 14
HI Disassembly Using the pin removal tool, carefully push the bottom housing right underneath the programming contacts. Be careful not to damage the programming contacts Remove the bottom housing Batt door w/mic Locking pin Wax Filter Top HSG Module Bottom HSG Rec Using the pin removal tool, carefully push the white plastic that holds the assembly/ module from the top housing. Be careful not to damage the battery contacts Remove the module Page 9 of 14
HI Reassembly Insert module with rec into the bottom opening of the top housing Use a tweezer to insert the rec in its compartment with the solder pads on top and black tube ring on the side of the rec facing out Slowly push the hybrid and the prog contacts downwards. Make sure that the edge of the batt contact goes into housing Contact pins White plastic Using e.g. the pin removl tool, slowly push the white plastic part of the module while pushing the 3 contact pins down the housing. Make sure that the edge of the contact pins does not hit the housing The assembly must fit in correctly as shown in the pic. None of the contact pins must rub the housing Page 10 of 14
HI Reassembly Lock BGE BOT HSG is used for easy identification It is recommended to use a new bottom HSG when reassembling to ensure the lock is not damaged. Place the bottom HSG with front end / rec end securely inserted. Only press downwards in the rec end as shown in pic Move the fingers to top HSG to ensure max flexibility during pushing the bottom HSG into place: Place your fingers as shown and apply pressure forwards and downwards at the same time till HSG part slides into place. A click will indicate that the part locks Add the pin and make sure it is placed correctly. The pin must not stick out as it will then hurt the ear Place wax filter on the HI Press the filter onto the HI until it clicks which locks it in place Place the battery door with mic assembly and align the hinge opening on top of the hinge Press batt door onto the hinge until it clicks to lock it in place Page 11 of 14

Route the wires and add capton tape as shown Add the rec sealing and make sure it is correct centred round the sound outlet to ensure the HSG parts will fit Receiver complete Receiver soldering points Page 12 of 14
Test & Test Equipment Test joint p/n 16795600 Prog pill p/n 17167800 Coupler insert p/n 16795500 Mount test joint to coupler insert by pressing it down till it clicks. Do not re-mount the test joint. Once removed from coupler insert it must be replaced by a new one 2cc coupler p/n 30-4838800 to be ordered with GTO Dept/HQ Ballerup DK Prog cable CS44 Prog contact pins Insert the prog pill into the batt door. Place it as shown to ensure correct contact to the two prog contact pins when closing the batt door Carefully close the batt door without damaging the flex strip Page 13 of 14
Test & Test Equipment Remove the filter from the HI Align the HI where its tabs are snap on the interior part of the test joint tabs Connect prog cable to prog pill Place the coupler insert with HI onto the TM12 mic coupler Place it in the test chamber as shown Page 14 of 14
