ENGINES & TRANSMISSIONS Engines & Transmissions Higher erformance and lower consumtion è The Turbofarmer Heavy duty range is equied with two Tier 4 Interim engines: 90 kw/122 and 115 kw/156 H è Merlo hydrostatic transmission with ED (Eco ower Drive) as standard. è As always Merlo telehandlers are equied with hydrostatic transmissions for imroved recision, safety and ease of use. The ED can reduce fuel consumtion by 18% giving a real yearly saving. è The ED To has a Seed control 2 button that allows to save the movement seed of the machine and kee it constant. The Eco function, ideal for yard handling oerations, limits the motor's rm, thereby obtaining further savings. è In oerations with the TO (otional), the otentiometer 1 allows to set the revs in corresondence with the attachment used (540/1000). The system kees the revs within the threshold, ensuring the correct rm for which the attachment is intended, maximizing the erformance and roductivity of the machine. è The self-accelerating Joystick is adoted as standard, through which more seed of the boom's hydraulic movements is ossible, thereby otimizing erformance. The system activates beyond the threshold of 20% of the joystick's movements. 8 9 MERLO CVTRONIC Merlo CVTronic Merlo's own continuous variable transmission version The CVTronic transmission follows Merlo's traditions in the hydrostatic field and ensures smooth acceleration without interruting torque from 0 to 40 km/h. The transmission comrises two axial iston hydrostatic engines owered by the electronicallycontrolled hydraulic um. At low work seeds, they function in conjunction to rovide maximum torque, with an increase of + 12% with resect to conventional hydrostatic transmissions. During transort, the second hydrostatic engine is automatically disengaged from the control system and the oil from the um owers the main hydrostatic engine that ushes the Turbocharger to maximum seed. 10 11 NEW CAB Comfort record World exclusive cab with susensions The new cab was develoed to ensure record-breaking comfort for our users. At 1010 mm, it is the largest in its category, yet even acoustic and thermal comfort involved detailed design; the cab is also ressurised to revent dust entering the cockit. The air conditioning system is comletely new and was develoed based on automotive standards, halving the warm-u and cooldown times, guaranteeing an otimal temerature in all conditions. The new Merlo cab can now reach an internal temerature of 22 C with an external temerature of 43 C and full sunlight and an internal temerature of 26 C with an external condition of -15 C and no solar irradiation. The inlet vent is located on the side of the cab away from otential sources of dust and dirt. Inside, there are 8 vents (three for defrosting the windscreen) for otimal conditioning comfort. A cab with susension system is also available - a feature that only Merlo offers in the telehandler field: the neumatic susensions rovide the best comfort in its class. AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM The air flow is distributed evenly inside the comartment and reaches all areas 1010 mm wide. The cab is the largest in its category Hydroneumatic susended cab which can be activated by the oerator. The only one of its kind on the market. 12 13 MERLO CDC Merlo Dynamic Load Control Safety as standard for everyone The Merlo Grou considers safety as an absolutely essential value and this is why it invented the M CDC system. The objective is to allow every oerator to work in total safety by fully exloiting the otential of the telehandler and the attachment used. The Merlo CDC system means that the Turbofarmer automatically recognises the attachment fitted and consequently calibrates its erformance in relation to secific load charts. The oerator can check at any time the dynamic equilibrium of the vehicle, thanks to the led on the screen or the traffic light on the front uright. For manoeuvres that may give rise to a telehandler stability risk, the M CDC system will block the boom and revent any further movements that may worsen the situation. The new Turbofarmer range takes this concet to even higher limits. As well as conventional handling, logistics and maintenance alications tyical of telehandlers, the new Turbofarmers allow you to use them even for towing, thanks to the D3 towing hook tye-aroved for 20 tons and the neumatic and hydraulic trailer braking system. For tasks with towed attachments requiring TOs, both versions of 122 H and 156 H are available with a mechanical TO to allow oerations with unifeed mixer trucks, rotary balers, seeders and srayers. AXLES & BRAKES Axles and brakes, effective and efficient Real benefits Our Turbofarmer "Heavy Duty" telehandlers are equied with lanetary axles designed, engineered and manufactured in-house to ensure maximum strength, excellent steering and ground clearance the "best in its class", 450 mm, with 440/80-24 and 490 mm 600/55-26.5 (otional). All of our Turbofarmer "HD" telehandlers are equied with 4 dry disc brakes that allow for consistent reduction of friction and, thus, fuel consumtion in comarison to oil bath discs. The arking brake is automatically engaged when the engine is switched off. The oerator can also engage it at will when the engine is running for stationary work on sloes. 490 mm ground clearance. From concetion to develoment, everything is studied, designed and created in the Grou's lants. This simle "rule" also alies to attachments. Backed by years of exerience, Merlo's technicians have develoed a wide range of attachments, divided by tye and load caacity. This standard makes it ossible to adat tested and interchangeable roduction attachment to allow for targeted uses, with the intention of facilitating work and reducing its execution times.
