Megagroep Kirkpatrick Wire Rope Lubrication Systems are designed so that in only one application wire rope can have its surface and groove pattern scraped clean of product build-up and grit while at the same time new lubricant is uniformly applied to the newly cleaned surface and injected into the internal strands. This is accomplished as the wire rope passes through a 100% pressurized immersion in the Seal Lubrication Chamber. Much of the moisture trapped in the internal strands is displaced and replaced with the newly applied wire rope coating. Systems are available for both low and high viscosity coatings. Each system comes complete with one diameter Seal and Scraper Plate Kit and one diameter and lay Groove Cleaner Kit, as well as the required components necessary to commence immediate operation. The customer must specify the diameter Seal and Groove Cleaner Kits required as part of their complete system components at the time they place their order. The user is responsible for providing the air source and enough lubricant to accomplish the task at hand. Recommended air pressure settings for various wire rope travel speeds in conjunction with lubricant consumption rates are provided in a detailed operating manual included with each system. Additional wire rope diameters require (optional) corresponding diameter Seal and Scraper Plate Kits as well as Groove Cleaner Kits apart from that provided with the complete system. Groove Cleaners are recommended in the event that the user s wire rope has a heavy coat of foreign material entrapped in the groove pattern and/or on the surface of the wire rope. A heavy surface coating limits penetration of new product being applied to the wire rope. All Seal and Scraper Plate Kits / Groove Cleaner Kits are easily interchangeable. The Seal Kits slip easily into corresponding configured sides of the Lubrication Collar while the Groove Cleaners snap directly into the matching groove pattern of the wire rope. Smooth Bore Groove / Surface Cleaners are available for non-spin, double armor or multi strand wire rope configurations. An optional Manual Stripper is also available allowing users the capability to surface clean the wire rope separate from the lubrication process. This allows for easy inspection of the wire rope to determine if it should be lubricated or taken out of service. An optional Digital Flow Meter is also available providing the user a means to keep track of their lubricant usage for specific applications. Our continued success revolves around the goal to provide our clients with the most innovative and well supported method to maintain wire ropes available. The impressive testimonials contained in these materials speak for themselves. It therefore is not required to elaborate about them here. Suffice it to say that this information has been collected from third parties as part of their formal evaluation of the performance of our product since we first introduced it to the world market in 1982. The evaluations were not solicited by our company and the conclusions reached were independent from us. Equally impressive is the Video CD s we provide of our systems performing in our customer s actual Field Applications. They are available in either Video CD (Computer Windows Media Player) or DVD format. With this said; a very important consideration that should be understood as the video footage is viewed, is the fact that we were at our clients field locations in the first place to document and understand our system s field performance. No competitor to our product has this same experience to draw from unless they have the ability to go back in time and recreate it. We have nearly three decades of footage collected in our travels to draw from that helps us in the evaluation of our client s maintenance programs. The knowledge we have gained in following this strategy has given us a complete understanding of our system s operational requirements within the framework of just about any wire rope preventative maintenance program. As a result, this first hand knowledge has helped us to design and develop the most efficient wire rope lubrication system in the world today. We understand what is required to provide you the right system for your specific application prior to your purchase and then to maximize your use of that system once it is received. We are as far away as a telephone, e-mail or fax.
To further support our clients, we keep a large parts inventory and can ship within a few days if it is on the shelf and within two weeks if we are out of a specific part. Specialized parts made from new tooling may take a little longer but not much. Why high pressure lubrication from Megagroep Kirkpatrick-Europe? -Wire Rope goes through controlled 100% pressurized immersion at up to 100 per minute* -Outer surface and groove pattern wiped clean of water and contaminants -Labor costs reduced. Safety increased -Less Lubricant waste -Increased wire rope life -Experience: Over 25 years in wire rope pressure lubrication. We can troubleshoot our customer s applications because of direct onsite field experience. -Our system design has evolved to incorporate design features to accommodate the broadest possible field application range in the world. Proven operational performance. -Timely parts and system availability assured for our customers. We stock. -4 major successful independent U.S. Government evaluations from 1986 to 2002 proving system performance and reliability. -Approved By: United States Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NATO, Canadian Coast Guard, Canadian Navy, Australian Navy -Dynagard Blue and Dynagard E approved: Type I and Type II Quality Products List ( NATO & U.S. Military) Naval Air Systems Command / Chief of Naval Operations Preproduction Evaluation 2002 ƒ The wire rope lubrication system evaluated during the project appears to have significant potential for reducing material usage and waste disposal costs. Significant labor savings are possible due to the reduced labor required to perform cable cleaning and lubricating events. Of equal importance, the wire rope lubrication system is a safer alternative than the previous method used because it does not require personnel to place grease on their gloves and wipe the crane cable. The cost analysis showed a 10-year ROI of approximately $ 135,900.60 and a breakeven point of 0,41 years. www.megagroep.com www.kirkpatrick-europe.nl Megagroep Goudstraat 30 2718 RC Zoetermeer Netherlands Europe Phone:+31793601990 Email:info@kirkpatrick-europe.nl Your contact person: Matthijs Beerlage Bsc (+31653834158)
