The eco-institut label assesses the levels of emissions and harmful substances in a product, with a particular focus on odour testing because no one wants flooring that gives off an unpleasant smell. Only very few design floors are certified with the eco-institut label. The reason: The permissible thresholds are much lower than the law requires. The testing criteria are also far stricter than those of other certifications. We undergo this examination every two years, and completely voluntarily. ECO-INSTITUT TESTED PRODUCT The eco-institut label certifies construction and furnishing products with particularly low levels of harmful substances and emissions. Such products have much lower limit values than the statutory requirements and meet the special requirements for indoor air quality. Particular emphasis is placed here on an extensive analysis of emissions and materials, as well as an additional olfactory examination. With our completely PVC and phthalate-free products, we are one of only a few manufacturers to be awarded the eco-institut label for design flooring.
