SUPER 1800-2 HD: The Roadbase Specialist The SUPER 1800-2 HD has been specially developed for the high requirements made on road construction in China. Thanks to its heavy-duty (HD) design, the paver is ideal for paving cold, coarse materials such as CTB (cement-treated base). Targeted measures specifically counteract the abrasive wear caused by these mixes, increasing the stability of the machine. The SB 300 HDT Fixed-Width Screed is also specially equipped for roadbase applications. It ensures that thick layers can be placed true to line and level with a maximum degree of precompaction. These measures make the SUPER 1800-2 HD the optimum paver for roadbase jobs. When equipping the paver with electric screed heating (available as an option), the SUPER 1800-2 HD can without any problems also be used on asphalt job sites. The robust design of the machine does not require operators to make any concessions, for it is as simple to operate as ever, thanks to ErgoPlus. Efficient and Eco-Friendly Drive Concept Large Material Hopper, Easy Feed with Mix + 40cm 242cm The SUPER 1800-2 HD is powered by a modern, liquid-cooled Perkins engine rated at 129.6kW. The speed ranges MIN, ECO and MAX are available which select conveniently at the push of a button. ECO Mode is sufficient for 70 to 80% of all paving jobs. This mode reduces fuel consumption, wear and noise emissions. In all climatic zones the world over, the large cooler assembly and innovative air routing provide for optimal temperature levels of engine coolant, hydraulic oil and charge air, while at the same time keeping noise emissions low. Needless to say, the design of the SUPER 1800-2 HD is also focussed on a sophisticated maintenance and service concept, perfectly tailored to the requirements of the workshop and service personnel. The material hopper and chassis of the SUPER 1800-2 HD have been specially adapted to the feed vehicles which are customary in China. Any mix lorry can dock onto the SUPER 1800-2 HD without difficulty, thanks to its great length (2.42m) and low feed height of just 53cm. What s more, the wide, oscillating push-rollers can be moved 100mm forward for a convenient and jerk-free material supply to the paver from any kind of feed vehicle. 53cm The large material hopper holds up to 15 tonnes. Particularly Wear-Resistant thanks to the Heavy-Duty Kit The SUPER 1800-2 HD is ideal for such jobs. This is assured by the particularly wear-resistant design of the conveyor bottom plates and of the return pulleys for the conveyor chains. In addition, reinforced guards in the conveyor tunnel and on the chassis effectively counteract abrasive wear. Augers which have been specially adapted to roadbase applications of the paver ensure an optimum head of material in front of the screed. SB 300 HDT Fixed-Width Screed The SB 300 HDT Fixed-Width Screed has been specially developed for the placing of cold materials in roadbase construction such as cement-treated base (CTB). Its deep screed plates make for an excellent floating behaviour. Depending on the layer thickness and material, the tamper stroke can be set to 2, 4 or 7mm. In combination with the special tamper geometry, this ensures particularly high The screed can be extended from its basic width of 3m to 8m with the aid of fixed bolt-on extensions. Option: Hydraulically adjusted side plates provide for a variable pave width. They allow the pave width to be varied by up to 25cm on each side. The SB 300 HDT Fixed-Width Screed features robust workmanship and an extremely high compacting effort. The special tamper geometry guarantees high compaction, even when placing thick layers. The floating behaviour of the screed has been optimized for roadbase applications, ensuring even paving and reducing wear. The stroke length of the tamper can be adjusted up to 7mm when placing thick layers, thus providing for a consistently high degree of compaction. Thanks to hydraulically adjusted side plates, pave width is infinitely variable within a range of 0.5m.
