Ntes fr munting initial peratin 5.1 Installatin Individual pumps acc. t sect. 2.2 When installed utside the tank, these pumps shuld preferably be psitined beneath r belw the min. fluid level that a sufficient amunt f fluid can flw in autmatically via a feed line facing steadily dwnwards. This makes sure that the pump husing is always filled up with fluid that n air is dragged int the system. The line cnnecting pump tank shuld be equipped with a tap easing remval f the pump fr maintenance withut the necessity f draining the tank. Cver plate versins type D acc. t sect. 2.3 When fitting such cver plate versins in cstumer furnished tanks it has t be made sure that these pumps are always lcated belw the max. fluid level t ensure that n air is sucked in the system that it can be easily bled prir t initial peratin (see sect. 5.2) r after a fluid service. The fluid is usually fed t the pump via the sufficiently dimensined intake piping screen filter. The fluid level may drp belw the pump husing during peratin as lng as the screen filter is sufficiently immersed in the fluid. Shuld a cstumer furnished tank be very high, resulting in an intake height f mre than apprx. 0.5 m, a ft valve shuld be installed in the intake pipe preventing running empty f the pump during prlnged st-still perids. This is nt necessary if the tank is f abut the same height as the tanks, which are stard with HAWE pwer packs type B acc. t sect. 3 ++. 5.2 Initial peratin, bleeding The pump has t be bled prir t initial peratin after every fluid service t prevent intake prblems air t be fed int the hydraulic system. The cupling must nt get in cntact with the pressure fluid. Mtr pumps Lsen, but d nt remve the bleeder screw during r after filling the tank leave it pen until fluid withut bubbles cmes ut. Retighten the screw let the pump run r switch the pump n ff several times (in idle circulatin mde if pssible with yur circuitry). Anther way is t set the main pressure limiting valve t zer bar, thereby enabling pressureless circulatin. Next, any air dragged int the system shuld be remved by perating all functins f the circuitry withut lad until all cylinders, mtrs, etc. mve steadily withut any hesitatin. Next the pressure limiting valve has t be reset t the system requirements (mnitred by a pressure gauge). The tank shuld be well-filled during start-up but nt abslutely full s as t allw the fluid t exp while reaching peratin temperature. This is particularly imprtant with custmer furnished tanks. The figures fr the minimum distance between cver plate fluid level (see table belw) are t be understd as a guideline.
