Rear Upper Camber Link (12425) Scion tc Thank you for your purchase from our new line of Scion tc parts. Please call us at (877) 4NO-ROLL if you have any questions regarding the service or installation of your Hotchkis products. Visit us online @ www.hotchkis.net Tools Required for this Installation - Hydraulic jack, jack stands, torque wrench - Ramps - The following sockets or wrenches: 17mm, 19mm - 1 open end wrench, crescent wrench INSTALLATION OF HOTCHKIS REAR UPPER CAMBER LINKS 1) Securely block the front wheels of the vehicle. Use a jack to lift up the rear of the vehicle and use jack stands to support it. Remove the rear wheels.

2) Undo the outer end of the stock upper arm by using a pair of 17mm wrenches or sockets. 3) Next, undo the inner end of the stock upper arm by using a 17mm socket for the nut and a 19mm wrench or socket for the alignment bolt. Once the bolt is out the control arm can come out.

4) Compare the stock upper arm with your new Hotchkis camber link. As a good starting point, set the Hotchkis camber link to the same length from bolt hole to bolt hole. An easy way to do this is by inserting the control arm bolts through stock arm as well as the Hotchkis arm. Adjust the turnbuckle until both bolts go through the control arms. Leave the jam nuts loose for now, for you will be tightening them up later. 5) Lube the polyurethane bushing surface with the provided grease. 6) Install you Hotchkis camber link in the same manner as the stock removal. 7) When installing the inner alignment bolt & nut, please leave them snug but not tight. You will be adjusting the camber link clearance with this alignment bolt. See Step 9. 8) Fully tighten the outer end of your Hotchkis camber link using the same stock nut and bolt.

Tip: Use a floor jack to elevate the suspension in order to line up the camber link end with the spindle clevis. 9) Droop Clearance: Since the camber link is designed for use with lowered tcs, the shape of the Hotchkis arm is slightly different from the stock arm. For this reason, it is necessary to adjust the alignment bolt so that the arm does not contact the subframe at full droop. Full droop is when the suspension is fully extended, which is a situation scarcely experienced during normal driving conditions. First thing to do is look underneath near the inner end of the camber link. Your objective is to adjust (rotate) the alignment bolt to give a 1/16 gap between the camber arm and the frame. Once the gap is achieved, tighten down the alignment bolt with a 19mm wrench or socket and a 17mm socket for it s corresponding nut. 10) Once the outer and inner ends of the camber links are tightly bolted in, you can tighten the jam nuts on the turnbuckle. Use a 1 open end wrench to hold the turnbuckle while you tighten each jam nut with a large enough crescent wrench. 11) It s time to put the rear wheels back on. Jack the car up and remove the jack stands. Lower the jack to drop the car onto it s own wheels.

12) Important: You will NEED a professional alignment at this point of the installation. You will be able to drive to your local alignment shop with no problem. Do not drive the car in this condition any longer than needed. Prolong misalignment can cause excessive tire wear. Adjustment: Your new Hotchkis camber links can adjust your rear camber from approximately 0 to 3. This kit will solve your tire wear issues resulting from negative camber gain due to lowering your vehicle. It will also allow you to fine tune your negative camber for autocross or track racing. Make sure that all hardware is fully tightened before driving the vehicle. Enjoy your new Hotchkis Camber Links!
