Cummins Filtration-Fleetguard Matt Anderson- Account Manager
Motorhome Industry 55k new RV shipments in 2016 Improve Performance and Reliability Engines more complex than ever before
Historical Milestones 1958 Cummins begins with a single filter production line in its newly acquired Seymour, Indiana facility. 1959 The first engineering lab is established and the initial top selling by-pass filter was developed. 3 1963 Cummins initiates the Fleetguard brand. The brand remains one of the most recognized by filtration customers today. 1967 Filtration business is moved to a new larger facility in Cookeville, TN. That site is now one of 15 manufacturing facilities around the globe.

Specific Application Lube filters for lube systems, hydraulic filters for hydraulic systems The same part number is never used for both systems Many competitors use the same part, if it fits Will fit, Jobbers Competitors say they meet the OE specs, but how can they, if they are using the same part in an engine, and a hydraulic system? Oil is different Contaminant is different Flow is different Pressure is different
Filtration System Specifications Who determines them? How are they determined?
Filtration System Specifications Who determines them? OEM How are they determined? By the component in the system with the most stringent cleanliness requirements. Lube System: Bearing clearances Component tolerances High Pressure contact points (valve train components) Fuel Pump components The desired service interval + a buffer Lubrication requirements Temperature Operating range
Warranty Uncomplicated, simple Warranty Statement Non Pro-rated warranty A Promise You Can Depend On
Advancing the Standard for Performance.
System s Require: Higher Efficiency = Cleaner fuel and oil to the system Higher Capacity = Longer Life for the service interval Greater Flow = Longer Life for the service interval Lower TCO
