A qualified mechanic is always recommended. *Do not attempt to install the intake system while the engine is hot. The installation may require removal of radiator fluid line that may be hot. Removal of the front bumper requires loosening and removing several plastic plugs and screws that may be difficult. It is recommended that this system be installed by a professional mechanic. The m8 bolt is also removed from the intake resonator top(b). Loosen and remove the two front bolts that secures the intake resonator to the intake manifold. Figure 6 Figure 7 Figure 8 The second m8 bolt is removed from the air intake resonator located just above the oil cap. Turn the sensor 1/4 turn and gently pull the electrical air temp sensor from the air resonator grommet as shown above. Remove the O-ring from the air temp sensor and set aside for now. Figure 9 Figure 10 Figure 11 The grommets to the side of the air box cleaner is attached to the two pins on the air box brace. Gently, lift and pull the air box cleaner from the pins. Once the air box has been lifted, continue to disconnect the crank case breather hose. Late model trucks has the breather hose connected to the air resonator. Lift and pull the air intake resonator from the throttle body. Once the air resonator has been disconnected from the throttle body, pull the entire air box out. Figure 12 Figure 13 Figure 14 Remove the sealing ring from the throttle body as shown above. Page 2 of Part# PF8050 Press the new step hose over the throttle body and use two power-bands. Tighten the power-band located over the throttle body for now. A phillips screw driver and an m8 socket is used to removed all 8 screws from the fender valance, then lower the fender valance.

Figure 15 Figure 16 Figure 17 The front bolts are removed from the fender valance located below the front passenger side wheel. The mid and rear bolts are now removed from the fender valance. Once all 8 bolts have been removed, continue to lower the fender valance as shown above. Figure 18 Figure 19 Figure 20 Lower the fender valance so that two of the 4 bolts The 8mm socket is used to remove the air cleaner Remove the two bolts that secures the air cleaner are exposed. These two bolts secures the air cleaner support bracket bolts. support bracket to the fender wall. support bracket, remove the two bolts. Figure 22 Once all 4 bolts have been removed, continue to remove the air cleaner support bracket from the fender wall. Figure 23 Align the m8 vibra-mount to the existing pre-tapped hole located on the fender well. Figure 24 The m8 vibra-mount is screwed into the fender well until it sits flush on the fender well. Page 3 of Part# PF8050 Figure 25 Unscrew the 65mm bolt located top side of the velocity stock base as shown above. Figure 26 For now, continue to remove the 65mm bolt from the velocity stack base. This bolt will be used to secure the bracket later in the instructions.

Align the upper air box bracket to the top side of the velocity stack base as shown above. The 65mm bolt is used to attach the upper bracket to the velocity stack base. The 4 straight hose is pressed over the velocity stack outlet. Place two of the.064 power-bands over the 4 straight hose, tighten the power-band over the outlet for now. Remove the 45mm bolt from the Power box top as shown above. Remove the lower 65mm bolt from the velocity stack base as shown above. Align the Power box bracket to the male/female vibra-mount, use the m8 bolt to fasten the bracket to the female end of the vibra-mount. The vibra-mount is fastened to the power box bracket using the m8 bolt. Top The bracket is now aligned to the Power-box. The longest side of the bracket placed on the stabilizer top while the shorter end is aligned to the base. Page 4 of Part# PF8050 The 45mm bolt is now screwed into the stabilizer top and the top bracket is now secured. The Power-box is now turn over and the 65mm bolt is used. The 65mm bolt is now aligned to the velocity stack base.

Figure 29 As the assembled Power-box is lowered into the engine compartment, the vibra-mount is aligned to the stock air box cleaner mounting pad. The end of the cast intake will butt up against the step hose wall. Once the cast intake is sitting flush up against the step hose wall, continue to insert the other end into the Power-box velocity stack. Once proper clearance is made around the Powerbox and cast intake, continue to tighten the Powerband on the intake side. Continue to check the fit prior to tightening the powerband on the throttle body side. The stock crank case breather hose is pressed over the large intake port as shown above. The crank case breather is pressed over the intake port. Figure 48 Figure 49 Check the entire air intake system for best possible fit, once proper clearance has been made through out the length of the intake, continue to tighten all nuts, bolts and clamps. Periodically, check the system for fitment, this will enhance the life of your Power-Flow system, failure to do so will void the warranty.

Assembly and disassembly instructions for the Power Box for the purpose of cleaning screens and filter. Here are the four-m6 x 20mm bolts that will be removed from the velocity stack base located on the corners of the base. Unbolt the four- m6 x 20mm screws from the velocity stack base located to the center of the base Now separate the base from the velocity stack. The four m6 x m20 bolts have been removed from the top of the velocity stack, Pull the velocity stack base with the filter that is attached to the velocity stack. The velocity stack with filter is now out of the power box body. Loosen the clamp on the filter neck in order to separate the filter from the velocity stack. Once you have loosened the filter neck clamp, continue to pull the filter from the velocity stack, The rectangular pre-filter screen is now slipped out of the channel along the body of the power box. Here is a group shot of the components that goes into the power-box. The filter and screens can now be cleaned with a simple shop-vac. 1. Upon completion of the installation, reconnect the negative battery terminal before you start the engine. 2. Align the entire intake system for the best possible fit. Once the intake has been properly fitted continue to tighten all nuts, bolts and clamps. 3. Periodically, recheck the alignment of the intake system and make sure there is proper clearance around and along the length of the intake. Failure to follow proper maintenance procedures may cause damage to the intake and will void the warranty. 4. Start the engine and listen carefully for any odd noises, rattles and/or air leaks prior to taking it for a test drive. If any problems arise go back and check the vacuum lines, hoses and clamps that maybe causing leaks or rattles and correct the problem. 5. Check the filter for excessive dirt build up. Clean or replace the filter with an original Injen filter (can be bought on-line at injenonline.com ). Congratulations!
