Material Line-up. The YTS Polypropylene pump line-up is available in 3 types of Polypropylene: pure Polypropylene, glass filled Polypropylene, and carbon filled Polypropylene. Pure Polypropylene. Pure PP is a low cost thermoplastic polymer with a moderate level of tensile and flex strength. PP resists strong acids and alkalis however can be attacked by some strong chemicals such as chlorine, fuming nitric acid and other strong oxidizing agents. PP can creep over time due to pressure and temperature variations. PP is often used for applications where there is a need to resist moderately harsh chemicals and is used especially for the production, storage and transfer of moderately corrosive fluids. Pure PP is not electrically conductive. *Refer to MSDS and chemical compatibility charts or for more information about PP chemical compatibility. YTS Pure PP Pump Design Features Manufactured from High Grade Pure Homogenous Type Polypropylene. Has higher chemical resistance compared to PPG and other types of cheaper PP material. YTS PP pumps are specifically designed to resist creep with special leak resistance features built in. Glass Filled Polypropylene. PPG has a lower level of chemical resistance compared to Pure PP however has increased tensile strength offering increased creep resistance for improved leak free operation. PPG can be better at handling pressure and temperature variations and is better suited to handling abrasive particle laden fluids. PPG is not electrically conductive. Carbon Filled Polypropylene. Electrically Conductive Polypropylene Plastic is recommended for transferring flammable corrosive liquids or for operation in explosive environments. As above it has moderately high chemical resistance. Conductive PP can be ATEX certified in some cases. *Refer to ATEX certification for more information. Pump Model Nomenclature. The Looped C Spool The new Looped C Spool offers improved switching reliability and longer parts life expectancy. The Looped C Spool also has fully replaceable Seal Rings and a new lightweight Shaft. The Sleeve has been redesigned offering increased wear resistance and increased surface smoothness. Spool & Sleeve are both outside accessible and completely Non-lubricated.

Options, Parts & Accessories E Series Electrically Controlled Pumps E Series Pumps are used for critical process type applications and can be fully integrated into control systems and process machinery. They are used for metering, batching, or cycle speed control and can also be connected to warning devices to monitor pump stroke rate or pump stoppages etc. Drum Pumps Drum Pumps fitted with a vertical suction tube and bung adapter. Used in conjunction with 200 litter drums. Due to their self-priming ability, dry run capabilities and portability the air pumps make for an excellent drum pump. General Pump Maintenance. Ball Guides (4) Ball Guides are fully independent & modular and protect the Pump body from unnecessary damage. If worn out they can be easily & cheaply replaced without having to replace an entire set of pump Chambers or Manifolds. Ball Valves (4) Pumps are fitted with either Ball or Flat Valves. Ball Valves are available in a number of different materials including PTFE. D152PS-PP (Pictured) 1/2 PP Pump 56 L/min Max Flow Rate Ball Seats (4) Ball Seats are also modular & can be easily replaced if worn out. Ball Guides & Seats can also be interchanged to another material such as 316 SUS for better abrasion resistance. Spool Valve The Spool Valve is outside accessible and can be removed by hand within a few seconds. Also instead of replacing the entire valve it is possible to just change the Seal Rings (5). The Spool Valve is 100% lubrication free so no grease or oil is required under normal operating conditions. Spool Sleeve The Spool Sleeve is Modular, replaceable and is 100% outside accessible. The Sleeve is manufactured from an extremely hard wearing and extremely smooth material allowing it to have an extended life expectancy. The Sleeve is designed to protect the Air Motor Assembly from unnecessary abrasion damage. Pilot Valves (2) Although considered a non wearing component from time to time the Pilots may need to be changed. When changing the Pilots note that they are fully modular and operate independently. Each valve is also contained within a hard wearing and replaceable plastic Seat which protects the Air Motor Assembly from unnecessary wear and tear. Throat Bearings (2) The removable Throat Bearings contain & stabilize the Center Rod and are made from hard wearing plastic. This component is used to protect the Center Rod & also protect the pumps Air Motor Assembly from unnecessary wear & tear. Maintenance Features Built into every YTS Pump Diaphragms (2) Diaphragms are usually the hardest wearing component and are also available in a range of different materials. Bolted Construction, can be easily and Quickly Disassembled and Reassembled. All common Wearing Surfaces are Modular and Replaceable. Extensive use of High Tech Abrasion Resistant plastics and metals. No Special Tools Required for service. Pumps are Non-Lubricated. Air motor is Outside Accessible.
