With long roof console INSTALLATION SUB- SHOP TOWEL 4 RETAINING TABS LEFT LENS 4 RETAINING TABS RIGHT LENS Customer Information: The information in this installation instruction is intended for use only by skilled technicians who have the proper tools, equipment, and training to correctly and safely add equipment to your vehicle. These procedures should not be attempted by do-it-yourselfers. 1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the audio system or the navigation system (if equipped). 2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. FLAT-TIP SCREWDRIVER With short roof console SHOP TOWEL 4 RETAINING TABS RIGHT LENS LEFT LENS 4 RETAINING TABS FLAT-TIP SCREWDRIVER 3 of 25

4. Open the sunglass holder. 5. Remove the two black screws and the two silver screws and let the roof console drop down. Disconnect the three vehicle connectors and remove the roof console. With long roof console 6. Turn each sunvisor holder 45 counterclockwise, and remove the two sunvisor holders. SUNVISOR HOLDER CONNECTOR Turn. 2 SUNVISOR HOLDERS SUNGLASS HOLDER Open. 2 SCREWS (Black) With short roof console 2 SCREWS (Silver) 7. Turn the left sunvisor toward the driver s door. 8. Locate the slot in the sunvisor holder, and insert a flat-tip screwdriver into the slot. Push in and hold the retaining tab. HOLDER FLAT-TIP SCREWDRIVER CONNECTOR Push and hold tab. CONNECTOR Disconnect if equipped. Push upward. Rotate toward the door. LEFT SUNVISOR Turn rearward. SUNGLASS HOLDER Open. 2 SCREWS (Black) 2 SCREWS (Silver) 9. While holding the retaining tab, push up on the left sunvisor holder and turn the left sunvisor back to its original position to remove it. Disconnect the vanity mirror light connector. If the retaining tab does not stay pushed in, return the sunvisor to its original position and repeat steps 7 thru 9. 4 of 25 AII 38281 (0711) 2007 American Honda Motor Co., Inc. 2-door model: Do steps 10 and 11. 4-door model: Do steps 12 and 13. 10. Pull away the weatherstrip from the left front A-pillar trim. 11. Using a small rubber mallet and a shop towel, gently tap the left front A-pillar trim at the SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG mark to release the clip. Go to step 14. 12. Pull away the weatherstrip from the left front A-pillar trim. 13. Using a small rubber mallet and a shop towel, gently tap the left front A-pillar trim just below the SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG mark to release the clip. 14. Remove the left front A-pillar trim (two clips). LEFT FRONT A-PILLAR TRIM 2 CLIPS 16. Remove the driver s dashboard lower cover (eight clips, two hooks, and disconnect the vehicle connector). CONNECTOR DRIVER S DASHBOARD LOWER COVER WEATHERSTRIP 2 HOOKS 15. Remove and discard the clip on the left front A-pillar trim, and install a new clip (supplied) on the trim. NEW CLIP 17. 8 CLIPS V6 Model only: Remove the driver s dashboard under cover (three clips and one pin). 3 CLIPS CLIP (Discard.) 18. Pull away the weatherstrip, then remove the left dashboard side cover (seven retaining tabs and three hooks). 20. Pull up the front edge of the left front door sill trim (four clips and retaining tab) to remove the trim. 7 RETAINING TABS LEFT DASHBOARD SIDE COVER 4 CLIPS FRONT RETAINING TAB LEFT FRONT DOOR SILL TRIM 3 HOOKS WEATHERSTRIP 21. Pull away the weatherstrip, then remove the left kick panel (two clips). 19. Remove the cover from the trunk lid/fuel fill door opener (two hooks and four retaining tabs), then remove the self-tapping screw. Make sure the trunk lid/fuel opener is unlocked. If the vehicle is an M/T model, continue with step 22; if not, go to step 24. M/T Model 22. Push down on the shift boot (two retaining tabs). Remove the shift knob by turning it counterclockwise. A/T Model 24. Remove the center console panel (twelve clips and disconnect the vehicle connector). 12 CLIPS CENTER PANEL SHIFT KNOB 2 RETAINING TABS SHIFT BOOT CONNECTOR Counterclockwise 23. Remove the center console panel (twelve clips and disconnect the vehicle connector). Go to step 25 or 28. With navigation system, continue with step 25; Without navigation system go to step 28. With Navigation System 25. Place a shop towel as shown. 26. 27. Remove the compact disc changer (two bolts, two clips and disconnect the vehicle connector). 2 CLIPS CONNECTOR Installing the Control Unit and Routing the Harness If the vehicle is equipped with a Long roof console, continue from step 30; if not, go to step 47. With long roof console 30. Using a scissors, cut out template A and template B. Vehicle identification number: 1HG A TEMPLATE A COMPACT DISC CHANGER 2 BOLTS TEMPLATE LINE A Without Navigation System 28. Place a shop towel as shown. 29. Remove the pocket (four bolts). TEMPLATE B POCKET Vehicle identification number: JHM C TEMPLATE A TEMPLATE LINE B 4 BOLTS SHOP TOWEL TEMPLATE B 9 of 25

31. Remove the sunglass holder from the roof console (one screw, one spacer and one spring). SUNGLASS HOLDER 33. Remove the console light from the roof console (four retaining tabs). SPRING 4 RETAINING TABS SCREW (Discard.) SPACER (Discard.) LIGHT 32. Remove the roof console trim from the roof console (six retaining tabs). If the vehicle identification number is 1HG A, go to step 34; if not, go to step 35. 34. While wearing eye protection, enlarge the sunglass holder installation hole on the roof console with a 9 mm drill bit. 35. Tape template A to the roof console at the indicated position. 38. Tape template B to the roof console at the indicated position. PUSHPIN FELT-TIP PEN PUSHPIN 4 MARKS TEMPLATE B TEMPLATE A TAPE PUSHPIN Align. 2 MARKS TAPE 39. Using a pushpin, mark the roof console as indicated on the template. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the roof console around the template. Remove the template. 36. Using a pushpin, mark the roof console as indicated on the template. Remove the template. 40. While wearing eye protection, drill the four marked locations to 20 mm. First drill with a 3 mm drill bit and finish with a 20 mm hole saw. 37. While wearing eye protection, drill the two marked locations to 4.5 mm. Remove any burrs. 20 mm HOLE SAW DRILL BIT (3 mm) DRILL BIT (4.5 mm) 4 MARKS DRILL BIT (3 mm) 20 mm HOLE SAW 2 MARKS 11 of 25

41. Using an utility knife, cut along the mark made on the roof console in step 39. After cutting, remove any burrs. Mark made in step 39. 44. 45. Plug the harness 22-pin connector into the control unit. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the areas where the double-sided tapes A will attach. Remove the adhesive backing from the double-sided tape A and attach the control unit to the roof console as indicated. UTILITY KNIFE CONTROL UNIT CENTER Cut out. 42. 43. Reinstall the console light and trim and unit to the roof console. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the areas on the control unit where the double-sided tapes A will attach. Remove the adhesive backing from each double-sided tape A and attach the tape A at the position shown. Remove the adhesive backing. 22-PIN CONNECTOR 46. Using the holes drilled in step 37, secure the bracket to the roof console. Go to step 67. Remove the adhesive backing. 2 DOUBLE-SIDED TAPES A CONTROL UNIT 10 mm Remove the adhesive backing. 10 mm 2 WASHER SCREWS, 4 x 12 mm Holes drilled in step 37. With short roof console 47. Using a scissors, cut out template A and template B. 49. Remove the console light from the roof console (four retaining tabs). TEMPLATE A TEMPLATE LINE C 4 RETAINING TABS TEMPLATE B LIGHT 48. Remove the sunglass holder from the roof console (two screws, two spacers and one spring). SUNGLASS HOLDER SPRING If the vehicle identification number is 1HG A, go to step 50; if not, go to step 53. Vehicle identification number: 1HG A 50. While wearing eye protection, enlarge the sunglass holder installation hole on the roof console with a 9 mm drill bit. Make sure to drill at the correct position. SCREW (Discard.) SPACER (Discard.) 51. Measure and pierce six locations on the roof console with a pushpin as shown. Drill with a 3 mm drill bit at the six pierced points. Enlarge each hole with a 10 mm drill bit. 52. 54. Using a utility knife, cut along the marked line on the roof console as shown. 57. While wearing eye protection, drill the two marked locations to 4.5 mm. Remove any burrs. DRILL BIT (4.5 mm) Cut. 2 MARKS UTILITY KNIFE 58. Tape template B to the roof console at the indicated position. PUSHPIN 55. MARKED LINE Tape template A to the roof console at the indicated position. FELT-TIP PEN 4 MARKS TEMPLATE B PUSHPIN TAPE PUSHPIN TEMPLATE A TAPE 59. Using a pushpin, mark the roof console as indicated on the template. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the roof console around the template. Remove the template. Align. 2 MARKS 56. Using a pushpin, mark the roof console as indicated on the template. 60. While wearing eye protection, drill the four marked locations to 20 mm. First drill with a 3 mm drill bit, then finish with a 20 mm hole saw. 20 mm HOLE SAW DRILL BIT (3 mm) DRILL BIT (3 mm) 62. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the areas where the double-sided tapes A will attach. Remove the adhesive backing from each double-sided tape A and attach the double-sided tape A at the position shown. Remove the adhesive backing. 2 DOUBLE-FACE TAPES A Remove the adhesive backing. 4 MARKS 20 mm HOLE SAW CONTROL UNIT 10 mm 61. Using a utility knife, cut along the mark made on the roof console in step 59. After cutting, remove any burrs. Mark made in step 59. 63. 64. Plug the harness 22-pin connector into the control unit. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the areas where the double-sided tapes A will attach. Remove the adhesive backing from the double-sided tape A and attach the control unit to the roof console as indicated. 22-PIN CONNECTOR UTILITY KNIFE Cut out. 65. Using isoplopyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the areas where the double-faced tape B will attach. attach the double faced tape B to the bracket. 66. With the two 4 x 12 mm washer screws and the holes drilled in step 57, secure the bracket to the roof console. Switch Installation 67. Bend the switch terminal as shown. 68. Insert the rubber bumper to the retainer. 69. Assemble retainer, switch, and trim with four 3 x 10 mm self-tapping screws. With long roof console BACKSIDE OF THE SWITCH 45 SWITCH TERMINAL Bend. SPEAKER 2 WASHER SCREWS, 4 x 12 mm SWITCH TERMINAL Holes drilled in step 57. DOUBLE-FACED TAPE B TRIM Remove the adhesive backing. SWITCH BRACKET RETAINER 4 SELF-TAPPING SCREWS, 3 x 10 mm RUBBER BUMPER RETAINER 17 of 25

With short roof console BACK SIDE OF THE SWITCH 45 SWITCH TERMINAL Bend. 70. Reinstall the console light and trim to the roof console. 71. Connect the harness 20-pin connector to the switch. With long roof console SWITCH TERMINAL SPEAKER SELF-TAPPING SCREW, 3 x 10 mm (Black) SWITCH LIGHT TRIM BUSHING SWITCH SELF- TAPPING SCREW, 3 x 10 mm (Black) RETAINER 20-PIN CONNECTOR With short roof console BUSHING SELF-TAPPING SCREW, 3 x 10 mm (Black) SWITCH LIGHT RUBBER BUMPER 4 SELF-TAPPING SCREWS, 3 x 10 mm BUSHING BUSHING RETAINER 20-PIN CONNECTOR SELF-TAPPING SCREW, 3 x 10 mm (Black) 72. 73. Wrap two EPT sealers on the subharness subharness around the corrugated tube. 75. Route the subharness up the A-pillar, and align the green tape on the subharness with the vehicle clip. END OF THE CORRUGATED TUBE LINING CLIP GREEN TAPE ON WIRE TIE 4 WIRE TIES LEFT FRONT A-PILLAR CORRUGATED TUBE 2 EPT SEALERS 74. Attach a piece of wire to the subharness as shown. Route the subharness up the left front pillar trim opening. Remove the wire. LEFT FRONT PILLAR OPENING 76. 77. 78. Secure the subharness to the vehicle harness with one wire tie by the vehicle clip. Secure the subharness to the vehicle harness with four wire ties. Route the subharness to the roof console opening. 79. With an assistant holding the roof console near the roof console opening, plug the harness 3-pin connector into the subharness 3-pin connector, and secure the connector to the vehicle bracket with one wire tie. WIRE TIE BRACKET 81. Plug the vehicle connectors to the roof console. Reuse the two screws (black) and the two screws (silver) to reinstall the roof console. CONNECTORS 3-PIN CONNECTOR Front GREEN CONNECTOR OPENING 3-PIN CONNECTOR 82. 2 SCREWS (Black; Reuse.) 2 SCREWS (Silver; Reuse.) Route the subharness down along the vehicle harness forward the fuse box as shown. Secure the subharness to the vehicle harness with two wire ties. 80. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the arroof liner, secure the subharness to the roof eas where the EPT sealers will attach. Under the panel with three EPT sealers. 83. Plug the subharness12-pin connector into the fuse box. FUSE BOX FUSE BOX Front view 84. Remove the upper hood opener bolt, install the ground bolt with the subharness ground terminal into the upper hole of the hood opener, and tighten the ground bolt. PANEL UPPER HOOD OPENER BOLT (Discard.) Connection position 12-PIN CONNECTOR If another accessory is connected to the fuse box 12-pin connector, remove the dummy connector from the 12-pin connector of the other accessory s harness and connect the 12-pin connector of the subharness to the other accessory s harness. FUSE BOX 85. HOOD OPENER GROUND BOLT (Supplied.) GROUND TERMINAL Secure the subharness to the vehicle harness with two wire ties. FUSE BOX 12-PIN CONNECTOR DUMMY CONNECTOR OTHER ACCESSORY S 12-PIN CONNECTOR OTHER ACCESSORY S 2 WIRE TIES GROUND TERMINAL 21 of 25

86. Install the 2A fuse in the fuse box in the location shown. 88. Route the subharness along the vehicle harness as shown. Loosely secure it to the vehicle harness with three wire ties. FUSE BOX Front view FUSE BOX Connection position 2A FUSE FUSE BOX 87. Attach the 2A fuse label to the kick panel at the location shown. 89. 3 WIRE TIES Loosely secure. Route the subharness along the vehicle harness as shown. Loosely secure it to the vehicle harness with two wire ties. 90. Route the subharness as shown. Loosely secure it to the vehicle harness with three wire ties. 92. Disconnect the vehicle harness 1-pin connector, and connect the subharness 1-pin connector. BRACKET PARKING BRAKE 1-PIN CONNECTOR ACCELERATOR PEDAL 3 WIRE TIES Loosely secure. 1-PIN CONNECTOR 1-PIN CONNECTOR 91. Route the subharness along the vehicle harness. Loosely secure it to the vehicle harness with three wire ties. 93. Secure the subharness connections with a wire tie. SUB- PARKING BRAKE LEVER PARKING BRAKE 3 WIRE TIES Loosely tighten. WIRE TIE CONNECTION 23 of 25

98. Reconnect the vanity mirror light connector, Insert the holder into the roof panel hole. Push up on the visor and rotate to its original position to lock it into place.
