Please read the entire instruction manual before proceeding. Ensure all components listed are present. If you are missing any of the components, call customer support at 951-493-7100. Ensure you have all necessary tools before proceeding. Do not attempt to work on your vehicle when the engine is hot. Disconnect the negative battery terminal before proceeding. REMOVAL Figure A Refer to Figure A for Steps 1-5 Step 1: Park vehicle on level ground and engage the parking brake. Step 2: Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. Step 3: Open the hood and locate the rubber cold side intercooler tube, it will be on the driver side of the vehicle, below the intake tube. Step 4: Loosen the clamp securing the intake tube on both sides to gain better access to the intercooler tube using a 5.5mm socket and remove intake the tube from the vehicle. Step 5: Loosen the clamp securing the intercooler tube to the intake manifold using a 10mm socket and disconnect the intercooler tube from the intake manifold. Page 4

REMOVAL Figure B Refer to Figure B for Steps 6-7 Step 6: Lift the car up on a lift or with a floor jack at the proper lift points and place jack stands underneath the vehicle to support it while working on the vehicle. Step 7: Remove the belly pan from the vehicle by removing the clips and bolts that secure it. You will need a 10mm socket, 6mm allen wrench, and a flat head screwdriver or panel popper. REMOVAL Figure C Refer to Figure C for Step 8 Step 8: Remove the clamp that secures the rubber cold side intercooler tube to the intercooler on the drivers side of the vehicle using a 10mm socket and remove the intercooler tube from the vehicle. Page 6

REMOVAL Figure D Refer to Figure D for Steps 9-10 Step 9: Locate the rubber hot side intercooler tube on the passenger side of the vehicle. Step 10: Remove the 2 clamps securing the intercooler tube to the turbo and the intercooler using a 10mm socket and remove the tube from the vehicle. Page 7 afepower.com

INSTALL Figure E Refer to Figure E for Steps 11-16 Step 11: Now we can begin the assembly of the afe intercooler tubes. Step 12: If you are not using any aftermarket sensors or injectors, install the 1/8" plug into both of the afe intercooler tube using a 3/16" Allen wrench. NOTE: Be sure to use thread sealant on the plug to prevent any leaking. Step 13: Install the small (2.38") clamp onto the hot side intercooler tube then, install the reducing coupling onto the end of the tube with another small (2.38") clamp, do not tighten at this time. NOTE: Install the reducing coupling onto the short side of the small intercooler tube. Step 14: Install one of the small (2.38") clamps onto the opposite end of the hot side tube with the 90 coupling, do not tighten at this time. NOTE: The 90 coupling is directional, it will only go on one way. Step 15: Install the final small (2.38") clamp onto the turbo along with the complete hot side intercooler tube. NOTE: Be sure the fitting on the intercooler tube if pointing downwards. Step 16: Adjust the couplings, clamps, and intercooler tube so that there is nothing touching any metal surfaces and tighten all four clamps using a 11mm socket. Page 8

INSTALL Figure F Refer to Figure F for Steps 17-21 Step 17: Install the 45 coupling onto the larger end of the cold side intercooler tube with the larger (2.85") clamp, do not tighten at this time Step 18: Install the hump coupling onto the end of the reduced side of the cold side intercooler tube along with one of the medium (2.50") clamps, do not tighten at this time. Step 19: Install the last two clamps onto the intercooler outlet and the intake manifold inlet tubes then install the intercooler tube into the vehicle. Step 20: Adjust the couplings, clamps, and intercooler tube so that there is nothing touching any metal surfaces and tighten the two clamps securing the intercooler tube to the intercooler using a 11mm socket. Step 21: Reinstall the belly pan onto the vehicle and lower the vehicle back onto the floor. Page 9 afepower.com

Warranty General Terms: afe warrants their products to be free from manufacturer s defects due to workmanship and material. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the product and is nontransferable. Proof of purchase of the afe product is required for all warranty claims. Warranty is valid provided afe instructions for installation and/or cleaning were properly followed. Proper maintenance with regular inspections of product is required to insure warranty coverage.
