A car can compete even if it has a Yellow Sticker Compliance Notice. 2. MECHANICAL AND BODY Automatics must have an operational neutral safety switch No oil leaks Radiator must have an overflow catch tank. Battery must be secured with a clamp or bracket. Bonnets must be fitted All vehicles must have at least one working taillight. 3. MODIFICATIONS The body must not be modified beyond acceptable street legal limits. The engine, transmission, brakes and suspension springs may be modified provided they fit the 'Road Going' definition above. However this does not include major modifications such as four link or ladder bar suspension conversions. Examples of major modifications include, any alteration to structural parts of the vehicle: floor pan alteration, firewall alteration. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any car modified beyond a road-going streetregistered capable car. No changes are to be made to the vehicle after it has been scrutineered unless the vehicle has been presented again to scrutineering. 4. VEHICLE HEIGHTS If a vehicle s suspension has been lifted making its crankshaft centreline height greater than 600mm the vehicle must not go quicker than 14.00 seconds (1/4 mile or 1/8 equivalent). Vehicles with a crankshaft centreline height greater than 600mm, from the manufacturer, must not go quicker than 12.00 seconds (1/4 mile or 1/8 equivalent). All measurements are to be made from level ground with racing pressure in the tyres. In summary: Crankshaft Height greater than 600mm With Lift-kit: 14.0 second Minimum ET Original from Manufacturer: 12.0 Minimum ET 5. A catalytic convertor by itself will be rejected. Hot Dogs or any other resonator is not considered to be a muffler and will be rejected. Cannon mufflers may be acceptable on some 4-cylinder or turbo vehicles providing they can stay within the 95dB limit. It is highly recommended that any V8 engine use full mufflers to meet the 95dB limit as cannon mufflers are highly likely to fail noise requirements. It is the entrant s responsibility to ensure the vehicle will meet the noise requirements. Noise monitoring may be conducted at Whoop Ass Wednesday events. Any vehicle that exceeds the noise limit will be excluded from the event. Perth Motorplex Ph: 08 9419 6622 Page 2
