New type size in FDK-series: FDK18 Two new sizes of open type compressor units FDK: FDK(X)18/2735 FDK(X)18/3235 FDK18-compressor units consist of a F(X)18-compressor with shaft coupling for direct drive mounted on a robust profile base frame. Optionally IEC standard motors of type IMB3 are offered as drive motors. The compressor design is very compact and robust. Reliable mechanism lubrication is guaranteed by means of an oil pump which is independent of rotating direction, as well as a large-volume oil sump. Colour: blue (RAL 5000) 3
New model range: SFD18 New model range SFD (open type compressor units with clutch bell): SFD(X)18/2735 SFD(X)18/3235 SFD18-compressor units consist of a F(X)18-compressor with shaft coupling and clutch bell for direct drive mounted on a robust profile base frame. Update HC-capacity data Capacity data and limits of application with the natural refrigerant of the hydrocarbons (R290, R1270) have been updated: Extension of applications limits regarding lower evaporation temperatures. Consideration of a partly necessary minimum superheat of 20K. 5
Implementation of special motors In addition to the standard motors (400V, 50Hz) the semi-hermetic compressors can be ordered with motors for special power supplies. Now, the electrical data of the special motors (current draw in operation point, max. current consumption, max. power consumption and starting currents) were included in the software. Motors for all common power supplies are considered. Please note that the availabilty of the special motors has still to be requested. Motors for special power supplies which are not included in the software are also on request. 6
Selecting a (special) motor in the software To select a (special) motor, firstly the according power supply has to be selected. Afterwards a suitable motor for the adjusted power supply is suggested. The suggested motor type is the common type for the chosen compressor. Depending on compressory type and selected power supply further motor types can be chosen (e.g. D/S or PW). 7

Modifications regarding inverter operation Whether the compressor is frequency inverter operated or not can be defined via the choice box frequency converter : If for the chosen compressor an EFC (on-top mounted frequency converter) is offered (e.g. HG12P- 34e) then EFC is pre-selected as frequency inverter type. Alternatively Other as frequency inverter (external frequency inverter, third-party product) is selectable. There is no distinction in calculation when EFC or Other is selected as frequency inverter. When compressor is operated with frequency inverter the capacity data is calculated out of the 50Hz-data and is intended as an assistance to determine the capacity data at different frequencies. Deviations cannot be excluded. 10
Modifications regarding inverter operation When Frequency inverter is selected then the caption Supply frequency will change to Compressor frequency. The compressor frequency is than adjustable within the permissible frequency range. 11
