ART PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS We accept high quality vector art by e-mail or disc. Vector art is made up of lines instead of dots and can be enlarged and reduced without affecting the quality of your imprint. Vector art will give you nice sharp lines while raster art will give your art rough edges. SOFTWARE: We currently use the following applications: Adobe Illustrator CS2 [.eps,.ai and.pdf], Adobe Photoshop [.psd,.tiff and.jpeg], Adobe Acrobat Professional [.pdf] and CorelDraw X3 [.cdr]. RESOLUTION: Must be at least 300 dpi at 100% of final size. FONTS: Convert your text into curves or outlines before e-mailing art. This will avoid font substitutions on your artwork. ART CHARGES: We recommend your art work be created by a graphic designer in a vector format. The factory will set straight line copy or add copy to a supplied logo for a charge of $10.00 (g). This charge includes a mandatory e-mail or fax proof for your approval at no additional charge. 19
GUARANTEE: All Rocket Nevada products are guaranteed against defects in material and imprint adherence and quality. PLACING YOUR ORDER: We accept orders via fax, e-mail or mail. We do not accept phone orders. In order to expedite your order a hard copy of your art should accompany your order. PRODUCTION TIME: Normal production time is 5 to 7 business days. If you need your order to ship faster, just ask. If we can, we will, at no additional charge. PROOFS: E-mail or fax proofs are provided upon request at at $6.00 (g). A pre-production item proof may be provided at a charge of $30.00 (g), A proof is an exact representation of the artwork we will use to print your pens. When you approve a proof, you are taking full responsibility for the correct spelling, typestyle and all aspects of your artwork. PACKAGING: Rocket Metal Collection pens are individually cello wrapped. The Designer Series and USA Made pens are packaged in bulk. While we make every effort to accommodate special packaging needs, additional charges may apply for special packaging. Please call for a quote. SHIPPING & HANDLING: All shipments are F.O.B., factory, Henderson, NV 89011. Actual shipping charges, plus $3.50 (per carton) insurance and handling charge will be added to your order. This charge will be added whether we use our account number or a third party account number. Once an order is shipped we can not be held responsible if the carrier does not deliver in their published time schedule. SPLIT DESTINATIONS: Shipment to more than one destination will incur a charge of $7.00 ( g) for each additional destination. OVER & UNDER -RUNS: The factory may overrun or under-run your order by 5%. If you would like no overruns or no under-runs please indicate it on your order. We will provide it for you at no charge. If you would like an exact quantity please add $7.00 (g). GENERAL INFORMATION 20 IMPRINT COLORS: Standard imprint colors are black, white, silver, gold, dark green, flag red, process blue, reflex blue and yellow. If you would like a non standard color, there is a charge of $5.00 (g) i.e.. brown and maroon. For PMS color match there is an additional charge of $20.00 (g). If you would like to change your imprint color there is an additional charge of $6.00 (g) per change. COPY CHANGES: $10.00 (g) per change. Each imprint must be equal to the absolute minimum for that pen. PRODUCT SAMPLES: We will provide a reasonable amount of samples at no charge. Samples are shipped via First Class Mail. If you would like samples sent using a different via, please provide us with your shipping number. SPECULATIVE SAMPLES: We will gladly provide you with a reasonable number of speculative samples for $30.00 (g) plus the cost of the item and freight. RETURNS & ALLOWANCES: Authorization from the factory must be obtained prior to returning an order. All unauthorized returns will be refused. No credits will be issued for pens that are not available for return to the factory.
