1. Features and Functions The IPL300 pipe laser is one of the most robust pipe lasers available. With an all metal housing for superior dust and waterproofing. With a series of interchangeable legs for various pipe sizes and a huge - 20% to +40% grade this is the ultimate pipe laser for the harshest work site. 4. Batteries & Charging 4.1 Battery Installation a)alkaline battery installation a) Place 4 D size alkaline batteries into the battery pack, checking polarity. Then replace battery cover and install battery box into the instrument. b) Rechargeable battery installation b) Install the rechargeable battery pack into the instrument. 4.2 Recharging Battery Plug the battery charger adaptor into the charging jack to charge the battery. The charging LED is red during charge and will turn to green when charge is complete. Charging can take place when batty pack is inside instrument or stand alone. a) Pleases recharge the battery when there is no power to extend battery life. b) Charge battery every 2-3 months after purchase.
5. General Operation 5.1 On/Off a) Press On/Off button to turn the instrument on and self level b) Instrument shows last grade set 5.2 Laser grade start guides Press this button, the green laser guide lights on the side and top of instrument light. These lights relate to the commencement of the grade slope. 5.3 Laser alignment 5.3.1 Laser dot centre function a) After instrument is turned on, press simultaneously for one second, the laser dot will then centre automatically b) When the dot is centering, LCD shows * c) After it is centered the LCD shows - -*- - 5.3.2 2 Laser dot align function a) When instrument is turned on and operating press left align key the laser dot will move to the left. Press the right align key and the laser dot will move to the right. b) When the laser dot is moving, LCD shows the relevant laser position *- - - - flashing, laser dot is at left limit -*- - - laser dot is to the left of centre - -*- - laser dot is centered - - -*- laser dot is to the right of centre - - - -* flashing, laser dot is at right limit 5.4 Laser Grade setting Power on and press the grade setting key the grade value number +00.000% will move to the right from the + to the end. When it has moved to the end, press key again and it will return to +. cont;
5.4 Laser Grade setting cont: - Use the set key to choose figure to be adjusted. Adjust figure using the up and down keys. - Once digit is set to desired increment press the set key to move to next digit. - Confirm grade setting by pressing the grade setting confirmation key Once selected grade setting is set and confirmed the LCD display will flash as the instrument adjusts to selected grade slope. LCD display will stop flashing when instrument is adjusted (provided tool is within tolerances) 5.5 Beyond Tolerance 5.5.1 (Front & Back) When the instrument is placed in over incline position (front or back) or the grade is beyond the self-leveling range the laser will alarm (laser beam and symbol on LCD display will flash) You will then need to adjust the laser into tolerance range, see below; a) When LCD shows; User needs to lower the handle until the symbol is gone b) When LCD shows; User needs to lift handle until the symbol is gone Note: grade value may be set beyond tolerance. 5.5.1 (Left & Right) The LCD display has a bubble symbol that indicates the laser incline status. When the laser is in over inclined position accuracy is bad, Position the laser so the bubble symbol is centered. If beyond tolerance the following will be displayed; Symbol flashing the left side of laser is beyond range, accuracy will be affected. Symbol showing but not flashing, left side a little high, but accuracy not affected Symbol in centre laser is level, will be most accurate used in this position Symbol showing but not flashing, right side a little high, but accuracy not affected Symbol flashing the right side of laser is beyond range, accuracy will be affected.
6. Battery Indication Power on the instrument and check battery capacity on the power symbol on LCD screen. Full battery, no need to charge Battery power low, still able to use No power, charge battery immediately 7. Remote Function a) Instrument comes with remote, the key pad function of the remote is the same as the instrument (except ) b) Press the button on the remote when the instrument is turn on, it will enter the sleep mode. The instrument will then save current data and turn off. c) Laser beam is off in sleep mode, laser dot start guides flash slowly. When you press the button on the remote again it will wake the instrument. If instrument is in sleep mode for more than 30 mins, it will power off automatically. d) Remote range; front 50m, back 10m 8. Maintanance Instrument should be carefully operated and properly preserved, any violent shock or falling will possibly result in damage Do not attempt to disassemble the instrument Keep clean and free of dust Remove batteries from instrument when not in use for extended periods of time
