Issue #89 April 2015 A Message from Kelly & Susan Well the last day of March pretty summed up the month more snow and winter weather for our area. Guess it s safe to say that darn ground hog s prediction was accurate as winter lasted another six weeks and then some in our area. On a positive note though it looks like we may see some temps in the 60s by tomorrow but we re not ruling out any April s Fool joke from Mother Nature. We ve got some fun events scheduled for this month and great promotions to help you get back on the road. Speaking of getting back on the road, we are offering incredible financing on select, in-stock 2014 models so make sure to visit our dealership and speak with our sales and finance team to see how you can get on a new Harley- Davidson for as low as $99/month! And we have decided to extend the FREE Harley- Davidson backpack promotion with each qualifying purchase through this month or until quantities are gone. Our MotorClothes and Parts departments are jumping into the season with some great offers on oil, battery tenders, helmets, and rain gear (yep we all know April showers bring May flowers - and the rain washes away the salt from the roadways). Well the weather hasn t cooperated but here s a sign that spring has definitely arrived the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program (PA MSP) will start motorcycle safety training classes at Harley-Davidson of Erie this month. Once again, we are very proud to host this excellent training program and encourage all new (and experienced) riders to complete this course before riding on the open road. If you haven t ridden in awhile, then you should register for the basic rider s course to help freshen up your skills, and even experienced riders can learn some new riding techniques. Get Ready for the Open Road with H-D of Erie s Express Lane Riding season is the time to ride your bike and Harley-Davidson of Erie is committed to making sure that you are able to spend as much time riding your motorcycle as possible. Therefore, to help minimize any downtime for maintenance or service work, we are pleased to provide to provide Express Lane service for repair/maintenance jobs of one (1) hour or less no appointments required. The Express Lane is open six days a week and is based on a first come, first served basis. The following jobs can be performed in our FAST LANE : oil/filter change single tire change brake pads safety inspection minor accessories installation Call Mark or David in our service department for more details so you and your bike spend more time on the road! Bring the Kids to our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 4 Harley-Davidson of Erie s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 4 th. This is a very popular event for everyone and we love seeing the smiles on all the children s faces. The fun starts at Noon with treats, egg hunts, and a visit by the Easter Bunny!!! If the weather doesn t cooperate the fun will be moved inside. Mark your calendar and make plans to join us for some family fun.

We will have FREE food and beverages, live entertainment, a fashion show, and tons of fun! Kick start the day with our Welcome Spring Ride around Presque Isle (leaves H-D of Erie at 10:00) as we celebrate the arrival of spring! After the ride join us for some great food (catered by The Cab Bar & Grille) starting at 11 AM. Hang around after you enjoy some food and beverages to have your motorcycle blessed by the Christian Motorcycle Association at Noon, and check out the new arrivals for spring in the fashion show that starts at 1 PM. Wild Wednesday Bike Nights @ Buffalo Wild Wings Summer is around the corner and Harley-Davidson of Erie, Miller Lite, and Buffalo Wild Wings are joining forces again for Erie s LARGEST AND FAVORITE weekly summer bike night series Wild Wednesday Bike Nights at Buffalo Wild Wings! This summer s bike night season kicks-off on Wednesday, May 27 th and concludes with a special Harleys for Heroes bike night on September 9 th. Bikers from around the tri-state region know that Buffalo Wild Wings is the place to be every Wednesday night from 6-9:30 p.m. during the summer for live music, vendors, contests, prizes, giveaways, food/beer specials, and the most bikes in town! Join Us for the Annual Blessing of the Bikes on April 25 The Christian Motorcycle Association will be at Harley- Davidson of Erie at noon on Saturday, April 25 th to perform the annual blessing of the bikes. The staff at the shop always looks forward to having our bikes blessed for a new riding season. We will have specials on all in-stock ride bells because it s always nice to have an angel with you on the road.
Join Us for 3rd Annual H-D of Erie Bikefest on July 13-19 Harley-Davidson of Erie is proud to host the 3rd Annual Harley-Davidson Bikefest at our dealership July 13-19. This event has charity rides, entertainment, vendors and fun and is Erie s only bike week. And this year we are attempting to break the Guinness World Record for largest HarleyDavidson motorcycle parade on July 18! Proceeds from the bike raffle will be donated to the American Red Cross Greater Erie County Chapter. This wonderful non-profit organization provides numerous services to our community and our dealership is very pleased to help raise money to support their organization s mission. The new motorcycle is a 2015 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special (FLHXS) that will be customized with a variety of accessories from Biker s Choice and is valued at over $25,000. The customized bike will be unveiled at our open house on April 25th, but TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW for ONLY $10 EACH.
