Construction odel 0 SERIES 0 AND 0 SERIES Thrust Bearing: The thrust bearings consist of back-to-back angular contact bearings. Standard lubrication syste is flood. echanical Seal: The balanced cartridge type echanical seal is flushed and vented to provide reliable service over a wide range of pressures. Seal replaceent is easily accoplished. Discharge Head: On saller sized pups casings are usually integrally cast with the upper pup body, while larger pup bores use casing of welded construction. Interediate Bearings: Bearing aterials, coposition of which is deterined according to the liquid handled, is retained in integral cast casings. Nuber of bearings is deterined by critical pup speed and shaft length. Ipeller: achined finishing of closed vane ipellers iproves hydraulic efficiency. Suction is further iproved by incorporation of uniquely disigned first stage ipeller. Double suction first stage ipellers are available for larger pups. Inducer: Incorporation of an inducer on the inlet side of the first stage ipeller iproves suction. Inducer ay reduce barrel length for restrictive installations.
