Trial Comments 1.Protocol: Dow (E005). 2. Ratings: CI not requested. WC 14 + 28 DA-A; 14 + 28 DA-B. Rate burndown and residual in separate columns. Target marestail and waterhemp, but rate other weeds. 3. No yield, crop destruct before R4 with volunteer monitoring at 14 + 28 days later, then every 30 day until winter. Crop destruct starts with 2 applications of dicamba then mowing. 4. Blanket application if needed (Enlist Duo) at 21 DA-B, if the Sonic break too soon due to rainfall and we plan to tour it and are not yet approaching crop destruct timing (was not applied). 5. Application A + B, 40 PSI and AIXR 110015 tips are required. 6. Photos requested that show differences in weed control. 7. ERICA-HR = Herbicide-resistant marestail (glyphosate). AMATA-HR = Herbicide-resistant waterhemp (glyphosate). 8. Rainfall following the 14DBP application was 1.59 inch over the next 7 days and a total 5.91 inch between application and the 28 DA-A rating. 9. Control of ERICA was burndown of emerged plants, there was no new emergence of ERICA in the nontreated areas, thus rating residual control of ERICA was not possible. Control of AMATA at 14 and 28 DA-A was residual control, any plants that were emerged at application A were very small (cotyledons) and were completely controlled by all treatments. Control of AMATA at 14 DA-B was burndown of emerged plants, there was very little new emergence at the 6-22-16 rating date, probably due to dry soil conditions. Lack of control of AMATA at 28 DA-B was primarly new emergence following rainfall about 10 days earlier. Differences is AMATA control are due to uneven patterns of emergence with some plots almost exclusively AMATA, while in other plots the AMATA emergence was less due to competition from fall panicum (PANDI) and carpetweed (MOLVE). 10. Not harvested (crop destruct). 241
