MILINGIMBI LANDFILL LAYOUT PLAN LOCATION The Landfill and Resource Recovery Facility is located between the Airport and the community centre: REMEMBER OPENING HOURS Always cover your load Stop and pick up any litter that falls from your vehicle FOLLOW THE SIGNS AND DUMP IN RIGHT LOCATION Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5pm Saturday: 9am to 3pm Sunday: Closed (commercial waste by appointment only. Contact: 0457 831 053) Public Holidays: Closed
ACCEPTED WASTE HOW TO DISPOSE!! General Waste (household rubbish) Roof Sheeting and Metal On the Shop and Resident Waste Only Cell Flattened and stacked on the respective Cell Bulk Waste (building, construction, wall frames) Deposited at the far end of the respective Cell to maximise space Car and Boat Batteries Car Bodies Tyres White Goods & Electronics On top of the available pallets on the respective Cell Aligned with other car bodies. Only accepted if without rubbish inside. Oil must be removed. Fuel tank must be empty Deposited at the far end of the respective Cell to maximise space. Must be off rims Deposited at the far end of the respective Cell to maximise space IT and TV s only accepted at Council Workshop

WHEELIE BIN COLLECTION SCHEDULE Tuesday and Friday (8am to 5pm) WHAT IS NOT ACCEPTED IN THE WHEELIE BINS Any item or substance that may constitute a hazard to the waste collection staff, to the mechanism of the collection vehicle or to the environment at large, including but not limited to all Listed Waste as per Schedule 2 of the Waste Management and Pollution Control Act and those noted below: Asbestos Hot ashes Bitumen and building materials Engines Explosives & ammunition Radioactive waste Car/ boat batteries and any other batteries Heavy items Wheelie Bin maximum weight is 75kg Any electronic waste including mobile phones Metal bars/ metal objects that will damage the collection vehicle compactor Medical, veterinary or dental practice waste Dust & fine loose materials not securely wrapped Chemicals, paints and solvents Liquids Gas bottles Earth, sand, gravel & rocks Manure Any other article or matter listed in the ACCEPTED WASTE table or that poses a significant risk to the health of a person who comes into contact with it or to the environment at large
