Self-priming principe 5 The pump casing is specific and contains two internal chambers. Phase A : The impeller rotates in the priming chamber, which remains always filled with liquid. It creates the vacuum required for the suction of the air contained in the suction pipe. Phase B : An air/liquid mixture is created and transferred in the separation chamber, where the air is separated from the liquid, which falls by gravity into the priming chamber. Phase C : Once the suction pipe is completely filled with liquid, the pump behaves as a conventional centrifugal pump. The upper position of the suction port and the integrated non return valve make it possible to always keep the liquid inside the pump. Even after long stopped periods, the pump can start a new priming cycle without need of refilling.
