4. Main Menu Connect CopterX B6 to power source. Press Batt Type button to browse through the main manual. Select desire sub manual by pressing the Start button. 5.1 User Set 5. Sub Menu Press Start button when you see the following screen in the main manual: User Set Use the / button to score browse through the sub manual: Lithium Battery type selection- LiPo V.Type 3.7V This manual is used to select normal voltage for different type of Lithium battery used in the Lithium battery charging. To set the voltage, press the start button, 3.7V will start to flash. Use or to select 3.7V for LiPo or 3.6V for Li-Ion battery. Press Start to confirm the selection. Please make sure the correct type of battery was selected or damage to battery and explosion may occur. - ON 05 30Min User can set the safety time on or off and set between 10-900mins. The timer run simultaneously with each charging cycle. In case of error with battery and termination peak not detected. B6 will stop according to the preset value to protect the charger and battery. Press Start button and on will start to flash. Use or to select between on/off. Press start button to confirm. If (on) was selected 30min will start to flash. Use or to select value and press start to confirm setting. Key Beep- Key Beep Buzzer ON User can turn off the Buzzer. Press start to enter buzzer manual, on will start to flash. Use / to select on /off and press start button to confirm.
Pb batt.- Pb Batt.Low-V. Cut OFF 09.00V This setting is use to protect the power source when voltage drop below user set value. To adjust the voltage press start to enter manual. 09.00 will start to flash, use or to select desire value and press start to confirm. B6 will automatically shut off if input voltage drop below value selected. 5.2 Lithium Battery LiPo Batt Press Battery Type at main manual until you reach the above display. Press Start to enter the Lithium battery sub manual. For charging Lithium battery. Press or button until the reach the following display. LiPo CHG 0000mA 3.0A 18.5V Press Start to adjust the capacity/ charge current and number of cells. The battery capacity will start flashing on the upper right corner. Press or to set the amount of the battery capacity, within 100-9900mAh. Press enter again to set the charging current. The value at the bottom left will blank and can be adjusted by or within 0.1-4A. Press enter to confirm the charge current and move to the battery voltage selection. Please enter value according to the battery manufacture or select Auto which B6 will automatically detect the battery voltage and check for errors. After all variable been set. Connect battery and balance lead socket according to the number cells in battery. Hold the start button for two second to start charging cycle. B6 will automatically run a battery check to ensure battery is connected properly and voltage was selected correctly. 06
5.3 Ni-Mh Battery / Ni-Cd Battery NiCd Batt Press start in the main manual to select Ni-cd or Ni Mh battery sub manual according. Inside the sub manual you may select charge, discharge or cycles. Charge: NiCd Charge Use / to select the charge manual. Press start and the charge current in lower right hand corner will start blanking. Use or to select the charge current and press start to confirm the change. Hold start button to start automatic battery check before charging. Discharge: In Ni-cd or Ni Mh sub manual. Use / to find the discharge option. NiCd Discharge 1.0A 10.0V NiMh Batt NiMh Charge Press start the discharge current at lower left corner will start flashing. Press /inc to select the discharge current (0.1-1A). Press start to confirm current and move to cutoff voltage selection (lower right corner) will start flashing. Use / button to select the cutoff voltage and press start to confirm the selections. Hold start button to start automatic battery check before discharging. Cycle: In Ni-cd or Ni Mh sub manual. Use / to find the cycle option. NiCd Cycle DSCH>CHG 5 NiMh Discharge 1.0A 10.0V NiMh Cycle DSCH>CHG 5 Press start button and CHG>DSCH will start to flash in the bottom left corner. Select between CHG>DSCH for cycles start with charging and end with discharging the battery or DSCH>CHG for cycles start with discharging and end with charging. Press start to confirm and the 5 will start to flash in the bottom right corner. This is the number of cycles. Please use or to select the number of cycles desire and press Start button to confirm selections. Please note for the charge and discharge current please put the value at charge and discharge sub manual. 07
6. Display during Charge / Discharge or Cycle 6.1 Charge / Discharge LiPo CHG 000mA 6.40A 0.1A 000m During charging / discharging the above screen would display varies information. Top row starting from left will show charging program being used (Lipo, Lilo, NiMh or Nicd), Mode (CHG=charging, DSC=discharging), mah charged or discharged. Bottom row show starting from left the current voltage of battery, current charge or discharge current, elapsed time in minute. 6.2 Cycle D>C 5 0000mAh 10.00V 0.8A 000m During cycling the above screen would display varies information. Top row starting from left will show D>C for discharge/ charge cycle or C>D for charge/ discharge cycle (the current process will flash), number of cycles selected (1-5), mah charged or discharged. Bottom row show starting from left the current voltage of battery, current charge or discharge current, elapsed time in minute. 08
6.3 Alternative Display and Adjustment During charging / discharge / cycles you may select alternative display by pressing or button. ON 30Min Press button and the above manual will show the current safety timer setting. IN.Vol 12.17 Cells 3/11.1 Press button and the above manual will show the incoming voltage on top row, and current charge / discharge current on the bottom row (for lipo charging the bottom row will show number of cell and voltage setting). During charge / discharge / cycles you may adjust the current by pressing the start button. The current display will flash and use the / button to adjust the current and press Start to confirm change. 09
7. Completed Display NiCd CHG 7000mAh 5.80V FULL 135m After B6 finished charge / discharge / cycle the above screen will display. Top row starting from left will show battery type, charge/discharge or cycle just completed, capacity charged / discharged / or last cycle. Bottom row will show current battery voltage, Full, elapsed time in minutes. 10
8. Error Display B6 is equipped with self diagnostic system. If an error was detected during operation one of the following messages will display. Batt circuitry Disconnection Please disconnect the battery and try to restart the operation desire. Time Over. Operation time exceed the safety timer. Please check the setting for safety timer is correct and confirm if battery is in proper working order. In Voltage Err. oming voltage is out of range, please check the incoming power source for malfunctions. Warning: Over Loading Please check battery of power source for shorts and malfunction. 11
Read all instructions carefully before operations. Do not open the charger casing. No user serviceable parts inside. Only use B6 to charge LiPo, LiIon, Nicd and NiMh batteries and only use program design for particular type of battery. Do not charge two battery packs simultaneously. Do not leave an operating charger unattended Battery and charger may become hot during operation Do not cover air vents during operation. Do not use charge in rain, snow or extreme weather conditions. Keep unit away from dust, damp, rain, high temperature, direct sunlight or extreme vibrations.
