2 3 Besides the traditional fixed installations, for applications where the easiest possible relocation and start-up is required, FLSmidth Ventomatic SpA has developed a platform-mounted packing and loading plant. Whenever a cement distribution terminal is to be built and whenever its expected utilization is short or may become unpredictable due to the market uncertainty, the platform-mounted packing and loading system can definitely be the optimal solution. A totally self-contained, stand alone state-of-the-art packing and loading system is now available having the focus on minimizing the work to be carried out at site in order to start the system and/or relocate it to a new operating site. All the equipments are sitting on a platform, therefore completely self-supported, which can be easily loaded into a truck trailer for easy transportation or just positioned on the ground. Bucket elevator for spillage recovery...and everything can be easily transported as stand alone unit - Dedusting filter with relevant pipings; - Screw conveyor and bucket elevator for spillage recovery; - 4-spout inline electronic packer; at final destination - Electrical cabinet with relevant HMI (Human Machine Interface); - Bag cleaning unit; minimizing the start up - Air compressor. - Bag flattening unit; time: only power and - Swiveling and telescopic manual truck loader; and then installed cement are not provided! 4 5 The innovative concept design The main equipments at a glimpse - Capacity up to 1200 bph of 50 kg - No civil works /building required - Pre-assembled and pre-wired - Plug & Play concept - Easy to operate - Easy to displace from one site to another one - Overall dimensions and weight suitable for road transportation H = 6.200 mm Cement feeding system: The platform-mounted packing and loading system has its own cement inlet feeding point and recycling system. Cement is fed to a large screw conveyor connected to a rotating screen. A small bucket elevator is recycling the spillage. The system is so flexible that it can be used in several conditions and locations such as cement silo or just storage bin filled up by bulk (provided by trucks, wagons or just simple big bags). No material is wasted thanks to screw conveyors placed underneath the equipments. The rotating screen and the bucket elevator are equipped with hinges allowing to be folded easily and quickly to reduce the overall height for transportation. Suction ducts can be removed as well. Once done, the final dimensions will only be 4.000mm in high and 2.500mm in width, enough to be transported on road by a trailer. 4-Spout inline packer FLSmidth Ventomatic inline packers are produced since 1961. Starting from the first mechanical inline packer, FLSmidth Ventomatic SpA was the first in the industry to develop a microprocessor based controller for filling and weighing bags on packers and first to introduce a fully electronic packer in the market. 6 7 Complete electronic machine Each spout is supplied with its own electronic weighing control system: a load cell coupled to a microprocessor is commanding an adjustable pneumatic flow gate to ensure reliable, repeatable and precise bag weight. Bag flattening unit The electronic weighing units can be preset to pack different bag sizes and types ranging typically from 20 Kg to 50 kg, stitched or glued, paper or plastic bags. All parameters are stored in the operator panel (HMI) for easy and quick product change. An automatic saddle height adjustment system is also available in option. Bag cleaning unit Dedicated suction hoods are incorporated onto each single spout to ensure a dust-less operation. The bag handling system evacuates smoothly the bags onto the belt conveyor underneath which minimize material spillage and bag breakage during the discharge sequence. 1 2 Bag treating line The packing line is equipped with a bag cleaning unit ensuring that any residual dust will be removed from the bag surface. Also, thanks to its bag flattener, perfect shape stacks can be loaded on the truck platform ensuring stability during the transportation 3 7 Manual truck loader 4 5 This truck loader has the particularity of being telescopic. It is expandable by 1.300mm from its rest position. It can rotate by a full 90 to cover a large part of the truck to be loaded. Its slide can be lifted to ease the maneuvering of the vehicles.
