The removable side covers shall be provided, but it should not be necessary to open the side covers for replacement of spare parts and testing purpose. The cubicle shall be mounted on C Type channel with opening for cable entry on rear side. The cubicle shall be designed (As per fig-a) to receive eight single core 50 mm 2 incoming copper cables (i.e 4 pairs of cable, each pair shall have one +Ve cable & one Ve cable) (outside dia. 14 mm to 20 mm. approx.). Two pairs of cable, each one shall be used as Main cables (+Ve & -Ve) and as standby (+Ve & - Ve) for D.C bus 1 and another remaining Two pairs of cable shall be used as Main cables (+Ve & -Ve) and as standby (+Ve & -Ve) for D.C bus 2 of two bus arrangement system of DB (w/o any physical interconnection between them). ach bus having one +Ve & one Ve bus should have to catered load to 10Nos. of outgoing feeders. The punched holes shall be provided for above cable entries. The dimensional drawing of the cubicle with all mountings shall be furnished by the bidder. Necessary cable glands shall be supplied with the DB. (i) There will be 10 Nos. D.C. outlets each rated for 6 Amp will be connected on each D.C Bus of two bus arrangement systems. ach 6 Amp. D.C. outlet shall be controlled by HRC fuse of nglish lectric/s&s/c&s make. The fuse base and links shall be easily replaceable. The cable gland shall be provided at bottom for taking output of each 2.5 mm 2, Two Core Cable (+ve and -ve line). The Company shall provide the wiring from output of HRC Fuse. The LD-indicating lamp shall be provided for indicating healthiness of HRC Fuse of each outgoing feeder on the front panel of cubical. TC//TS-DB 03302/R0, Dt: 2.04.2008 Page 1 of 7
There will be two Main copper bus bars, with +Ve & -Ve connecting terminals each of electrolytic copper confirming IS 8130/84, which will be liberally rated. It will receive D.C. input from incoming cables Main and Stand by for each BUS of two bus arrangement system, through HRC fuse of 63 A, nglish lectric/s&s/c&s make for each +Ve and Ve line of D.C Supply for both Main and Stand by cables. The input to HRC fuse of each outgoing feeder shall be extended from +Ve D.C and Ve D.C bus of auxiliary Bus bar BUS 1 & BUS 2 of two bus arrangement system. The thickness and width of Main and Auxiliary bus bar shall not be less than 5 mm and 30 mm respectively. The bus bar shall be of sufficient length to avoid congestion. The separation between connection points of +Ve lines of cable of two successive outgoing feeders on D.C +Ve Bus and Ve lines of cable of two successive outgoing feeders on D.C Ve Bus shall be 4 Cms. Bus bar shall be insulated to avoid accident while working inside D.C.D.B. Insulation on the bus bar may reduce the rate of dissipation of heat generated in bus bar. This will increase temperature of busbar, which will affect the insulation. Therefore bus bar design should take all these factors into account so that there is no temperature rise. ach HRC Fuse shall be connected to auxiliary bus bar by using insulated copper cable of not less than 6 mm 2. The design of DB shall be such that there shall be minimum voltage drop. Special care shall be taken to avoid voltage drop at every level. The wiring shall be neat and clean without any congestion and shall be supported mechanically as well as tied up to withstand transit vibrations. More than two wires shall not be terminated at a point. Terminal blocks shall be used for terminating more than one wire. D.C. Voltmeter make Meco/A to read D.C. voltage upto 75 V and D.C. Ampere meter make Meco/A with 0-60A capacity shall be provided for each bus of two BUS arrangement systems. The meters and shunts shall be of good quality suitable to give a long and satisfactory service. An indicating main LD shall be provided for each incoming D.C input to be terminated on main D.C bus each after 63Amp HRC fuse, to get connected with BUS1 & BUS2 of two bus arrangement system on the front panel of the DB. The healthy condition of HRC Fuse shall be indicated on front by a glowing red LD on front door with door in closed position. A cubicle light with fuse and switch shall be provided inside the cubicle operating on D.C. RQUIRMNTS: The D.C.D.B. shall be scientifically designed to avoid temperature rise and voltage drop. The vermin proofing shall be given due importance and it will be carried out positively. All labels shall be revetted. Stickers shall not be accepted. Proper earthing arrangements shall be provided on the cubicle. TC//TS-DB 03302/R0, Dt: 2.04.2008 Page 2 of 7
