O.E.M. console prior to removal Carefully slide down (unsnap) chrome trim piece under shifter knob. Carefully remove retaining clip that holds knob onto shifter shaft. (Needle nose pliers work well) Remove shifter knob Carefully pop out coin tray from console top panel and save to be reused. Note: Some vehicles may have the coin tray with traction control switch as shown. Carefully unclip and remove top console panel. Unplug wires as needed. Top console panel removed. Remove two (2) screws for side trim panels. (Phillips screwdriver) Remove bolt cover at lower rear end of console. (one each side). Remove bolts. (10 mm socket)
Carefully unclip and remove console rear end panel. Note: Some vehicles may have rear controls in panel that will require removal of electrical connectors. Remove arm rest and hinge assembly. (Phillips screwdriver) Carefully unclip and remove console side panels. Remove rear side screws holding housing to floor bracket. (90 Phillips screwdriver) Remove four (4) bolts holding the main plastic console housing to floor and Save hardware Unplug wire harnesses. Driver side / forward bolt shown. Remove four (4) bolts holding the shifter assembly to holding the main plastic console housing. Save Hardware (10mm socket) Unplug shifter harness from console base.
Carefully unclip shift cable mount and unbolt cable end. Take note of correct position of cable mount parts. Save Hardware Remove shifter assembly Remove forward base screws from lower dash and save screws.(one each side) (7 mm socket) Unplug main console harness from lower end of dash. Remove OEM plastic base plate O.E.M. console housing removed. Carefully remove wire harness from O.E.M. console housing. Place # CM005005 base mount bracket into vehicle. Attach bracket to rear O.E.M. floor mount with O.E.M screws previously removed. (10 mm socket)
Attach base bracket to front O.E.M. floor mount with O.E.M screws previously removed. (10 mm socket) Attach # CM005006 front shifter platform to base bracket with six (6) 1/4 x 1/2 Hex head bolts, lock washers and flat washers. (7/16 wrench) Place shifter assembly into base bracket. Do not bolt in yet. Carefully reattach shifter cable back onto original location and tighten cable end bolt. Reattach O.E.M. harnesses and plugs. Note: There some holes for attaching cable clips. Attach shifter assembly to shifter platform with three (3) 1/4 x 1¼ hex head bolts lock washers and flat washers. (7/16 socket) Insert 2 x 2.5 x 8 foam block into lower dash air duct to prevent air from blowing into console. Foam part number - CM007533 Place coin tray on the underside of top console bezel. Clamp on with CM005270 brackets as shown. (11/32 socket) Now coin tray is mounted to the console bezel. Proceed with installation of bezel. Note: Some vehicles may not have the traction control knob as shown. Carefully place main console housing into vehicle. Loosely attach rear housing sides to base bracket with 1/4 x 1/2" Carriage bolts and serrated nuts. (two each side) Do not tighten hardware yet.
Loosely attach front passenger side console housing to lower dash with previously removed O.E.M. screw. (7mm socket) Loosely attach front driver side console housing to lower dash with previously removed O.E.M. screw. (7mm socket) Loosely attach forward housing sides to base bracket with 1/4 x 3/4" hex bolts and flat washers. (two each side) Tighten all console mount hardware. Place top console bezel onto console. Note: Wire in the 12 volt sockets and run aftermarket wire harnesses before closing up front end of console. Attach angled shifter cover plate to top console bezel with four (4) # 8 x 1/4" flat head sheet metal screws. Note: You may need to slide bezel back to access forward screws. Push top console bezel forward and attach to console housing with # 8 x 3/8 Torx head screws (T-20 Torx) Reattach shifter knob and insert cup holder Attach driver side trim panel to console housing with # 8 x 1/4" flat head sheet metal screws.. Attach passenger side trim panel to console housing with # 8 x 1/4" flat head sheet metal screws. Note: If mounting a C-HDM-204 side computer mount, use the existing 1/4" hex bolts and nuts with 1/2" hex bolts in upper side extrusion. Before inserting cup holder, run necessary wiring and wire tie as needed. Make sure wiring is not stressed or that it does not interfere with shifter mechanism.
