Scoot & Ride company Going back into the year 2010 looking for mobility concepts driven by user needs, a team of Austrian designers came up with the first sketch to convert a kids scooter into a balance bike. Plenty of prototypes and two years of test and design development shaped the first born product called Highwayfreak. A product which was no longer able to be called a scooter. It was the birth of the 2 in 1 Scooter & Balance-Bike combination. 2012 the company was officially founded under the brand Scoot & Ride 2013 we won the ISPO Brandnew Award 2013 the ISPO Family Award 2014 the Red Dot Design Award 2015 the Tilliwig Award and 2015 the TOY Award 2016 we are proud to launch the next big thing - the Highwaykick series and until today we`re driven by developing clever mobilities for our kids passion. HOW IT WORKS
+ Quality. In 2016 all models are made with the additional mechanism clamp which ensures more stability and lower tolerances. + Functionality. To convert from Scooter to Bike or reverse 1. the clamp lever needs to be opened. 2. the red button pushed forward and 3. the frame twisted. The lock jumps back automatically in its correct position only the lever needs to be closed. + Balance. The big front wheel has been uniquely created for all Scoot & Ride products and ensures perfect stability and balanced ride. Starting from 2017 all models front wheels will be finished in rubber for high riding grip. + Safety. Next to the big front wheel which ensures a safe ride on various undergrounds, all products have an exchangeable high-performance rear wheel brake made off spring steel. The anti-slip grip tape made of sandpaper ensures a high-grip on the deck. + Design. The patented safety lock clamp to adjust and fix the handle-bar, has been developed to ensure an easy functionality while pressing the pin button. + Comfort. All model seats are ergonomically shaped and designed to the user needs. Made of soft materials covered by fabic they ensure riding in comfort for the user.

Next to 2 front wheels which ensure a perfect balance, Highwaykick 1 and 3 come with the patented - safety pad - which gives more security against tip over. Starting from 2017 Highwaykick 1 and 3 come with a steering lock to enable easy learning. The ergonomic slightly v-shaped handle with its rounded ends provides a strong grip. + Design.
