We have been developing and manufacturing hydraulic products at our Lollar site in central Hesse for over 40 years now. Graduate engineer Horst Watz was quick to recognise the technological potential and superiority of hydraulic drive systems over their mechanical counterparts. In 1971, he founded a distribution company for hydraulics and pneumatics and, a short time later, began to develop and manufacture his own hydraulic units. Today, Watz manufactures hydraulic systems for customers all over the world, both as customised, special solutions and standard systems and cylinders. The range of services offered by Watz Hydraulik encompasses everything from consulting, development, production, assembly and commissioning to maintenance, repair and the conversion of hydraulic components and systems. Thanks to this end-to-end service offering, Watz ensures a permanently high level of system availability. Together with subsidiary FAUDI GmbH, this family enterprise grew into the Watz corporate group. FAUDI is a global company specialising in filtration technology. Many years of experience make the companies strong business partners. Both companies are jointly certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. With a more than 150-strong workforce, the Watz Group is your partner for customised and standard hydraulic products. 2
Consulting and development Watz engineering Project planning Engineering is at the heart of our activities. Each and every day, our engineers tirelessly devote themselves to the process of implementing the specialist requirements of our customers in the development of sophisticated and intelligently controlled hydraulic systems. Consulting phase We support our customers in an advisory role in the early project phase and develop not only the optimum hydraulic solution but also the best route to implementation. Development phase We support our customers at all times during the subsequent development and implementation phase too. This ensures the fastest possible implementation and leads to tangible cost and time savings. Outcome Hydraulic systems often have to operate over many years under extreme conditions. To ensure their safe and reliable operation, detailed precision and the optimum interaction of all components is essential. Our quality standards are extremely high: from CAD-based system development, production of the manufactured parts and module assembly through to final system installation and commissioning on site. 3
