Do not use battery charger outdoors. Never let moisture, rain, or splashed water reach the charging location.. Do not charge battery pack when the temperature is below 0 C (0 F) or above 0 C (0 F). Charging battery at extreme temperatures can cause shorter battery life.. Damaged battery packs or batteries no longer accepting a charge must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Do not throw the battery pack into the trash, into fire, or into water. See Battery Recycling section for disposal information.. Do not operate charger with a damaged electrical cable or housing. Charger with damaged electrical cable is non-serviceable and must be replaced with a new one.. Use only battery packs and chargers approved by manufacturer for use in tools. . The battery pack should be recharged when it fails to produce sufficient power on jobs which were easily done previously. DO NOT CONTINUE to use under these conditions. Follow the charging procedure. You may also charge a partially used pack whenever you desire with no adverse affect on the battery pack.. Under certain conditions, with the charger plugged in to the power supply, the exposed charging contacts inside the charger can be shorted by foreign material. Foreign materials of a conductive nature such as, but no limited to, steel wool, aluminum foil, or any buildup of metallic particles should be kept away from charger cavities.. Always unplug the charger from the power supply when there is no battery pack in the cavity.. Unplug charger before attempting to clean.. Do not immerse charger in water or any other liquid. MAINTENANCE WARNING! RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY. Always remove the battery pack before performing maintenance, making any adjustment, installing or changing accessories.. Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained tools, with sharp edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.. Remove the battery pack before cleaning the drill.. Do not use caustic cleaning agents or solvents to clean the plastic housing.. Do not submerge or pour water on the tool at any time. Do not rinse the machine with water.. The cutter should be stored in a dry place when it is not in use.. Before every use of this cutter, check whether the blade is in good order and it must be repaired in time if damage has been found.. The blade should be cleaned and lubricated in time after every use of the cutter.. When the cutter is to be used for a long time the blades should be lubricated during operations interval.. When servicing a tool, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions in the Maintenance section of this manual. Lockout Button. Blade. Blade Cover. Battery Pack. Battery Charger. Adapter BLADE REPLACEMENT. (SEE FIGURE ) To Remove the Blade Assembly: Place the grass shears upside down on a workbench.. Remove and retain the four blade screws and lock washers.. Remove the blade from the housing.. (SEE FIGURE ) To Replace the Blade Assembly: Place the new blade on housing, with lock washer retained in step. NOTE: Drive spacer must be placed in the slot of the blade.. Make sure that the battery pack to be used is conforming to the working voltage of the product shown on its nameplate.. Keep the blades lubricated well during operation. User may lubricate grass shears when they are not in use.

Turning Cutter On and Off. (SEE FIGURE ) Locate On/Off button on Grass Shears.. To turn Grass Shears "ON": Push forward lockout button (), then press trigger ().. To Turn Grass Shears "OFF": Release button () and trigger (). Clearing Grass Shears from Jams. If the grass shears stop, release the on/off button immediately. CAUTION: Remove the battery pack from the unit, before removing grass or debris jammed in the cutting blades. Battery Pack Your tool uses a. volt battery pack. When ordering replacement battery packs, be sure to include catalog number and voltage. Extended Run-time battery packs deliver more run-time than standard battery packs. NOTE: your tool will except either standard or extended run time battery packs. However, be sure to select proper voltage. Installing And Removing The Battery Pack NOTE: Make sure your battery pack is fully charged before installing.. (SEE FIGURE ) To install the battery pack into the unit, open the cover (), then push the battery pack () into the unit, close the cover.. To remove the battery pack from the unit, open the cover () and firmly pull the battery pack out. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHARGERS. Your battery can be charged in - hour charger.. Be sure to read all safety instructions before using your charger.. This product is not user serviceable.. There are no user serviceable parts inside the charger.. Servicing at an authorized service center is required to avoid damage to static sensitive internal components.. Read all of the instructions in the battery charger section to this manual before attempting to charge the battery pack for your tool.. Always use correct battery pack (pack supplied with tool or replacement pack exactly like it.).. Never install any other battery pack, it will ruin your tool and may create hazardous condition. Figure Figure OPERATING BATTERY CHARGING Overview The charger require no adjustment and are designed to be as easy as possible to operate. Simply place your battery packs into the receptacle of a plugged in charger and it will automatically charge the pack. Follow the step by step instructions listed below. Operation. (SEE FIGURE ) Connect the adapter () plug to the battery charger () station.. Plug the adapter into an appropriate AC power outlet. NOTE: The red LED (POWER) lights to tell you that the battery charger is ready for use.. Insert the battery pack into the battery charger station, making sure the battery pack is fully seated into the charger. NOTE: The green LED (CHARGE) lights to tell you that the battery pack is on charge. Figure. The battery pack will be fully charged in about hours. NOTE: The battery pack can be left in the charger without any risk of it being overcharged. IMPORTANT CHARGING INFORMATION WARNING:! RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. Do not allow any liquid to get inside charger. Electric shock may result. To facilitate the cooling of the battery pack after use, avoid placing the charger or battery pack in a warm environment such as in a metal shed, or an uninsulated trailer. CAUTION: Never attempt to open the battery pack for any reason. If the plastic housing of the battery pack breaks or cracks, return to a service center for recycling. For Best Performance Longest life and best performance can be obtained if the battery pack is charged when the air temperature is between o F- o F ( o C- o C). Do not charge the battery pack in an air temperature below +0 o F(+. o C), or above +0 o F(+0. o C). This is important and will prevent serious damage to the battery pack.. The charger and battery pack may become warm to touch while charging. This is a normal condition, and does not indicate a problem.. Use the charger in normal room temperatures whenever possible. To prevent overheating, do not cover the charger and do not charge battery packs in direct sunlight or near heat sources.. If the battery pack does not charge properly: Check current at receptacle by plugging in a lamp or other appliance. Check to see if receptacle is connected to a light switch which turns power off when you turn out the light. Move charger and battery pack to a location where the surrounding air temperature is approximately o F- o F ( o C- o C). If charging problems persist, take or send the tool, battery pack and charger to your local service center. Adapter Plug
