HEALTH & SAFETY At the heart of our design A key consideration in the design, production and operation of ESSTALION is health and safety. For example, our patented LFP technology [Li (Lithium), Fe (Iron), PO 4 (Phosphate)], structure traps the oxygen, thus nullifying the risk of thermal runaway and combustion. Unlike competing products, no rare metals such as nickel or cobalt are used. Pure, thermally stable and uninflammable iron is our basic substrate. CLEAN POWER Sustainability principles applied 2 TO 3 TIMES MORE CYCLES AND A MUCH BETTER CALENDAR LIFE THAN THE COMPETITION... AT FULL DOD 15,000 cycles ESSTALION storage modules continue to operate efficiently for the equivalent of 15,000 charge/discharge cycles, retaining 70% of their capacity even at this stage. This remarkable statistic points to not only important economic benefits, but to environmental advantages as well (i.e. module disposal). 20-year calendar life Whether you want to do peak shaving application at full charge or discharge two times per day, ESSTALION will last 20 years without the need to change your system. For those who use the system as a backup for reserve application or for transmission or distribution deferral at low cycle, the system will still be usable and maintain its capacity after 20 years. 99% recyclable Thanks to our patent pending innovative recycling process, we are able to recover and reuse 99% of all active battery materials, a key environmental benefit. The system s inherent design and function promotes many environmental benefits, including the use of materials with low or no toxicity and minimizing end-of-life handling. We also avoid the use of limited raw materials, helping mitigate resource scarcity. 8
