Air Conditioning SUBJECT: Introducing The New Commercial Copeland Scroll Variable Speed and Drives New Product Launch Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of our new Copeland Scroll commercial variable speed compressor and associated drives. The new compressor model, ZPV063, has a 63cm 3 scroll displacement and will be available in individual, tandem and trio (trio are released with reference drawings only) configurations beginning in September, 2014 (See Table 1 and 2). This product is well suited for various applications including rooftop, chiller, and close control systems. Copeland Scroll variable speed compressors offer: Outstanding part load efficiency, including Integrated Energy Efficiency Ratio (IEER), and Integrated Part Load Value (IPLV) enabling standards compliance and significant energy savings. Emerson package solution including a brushless permanent magnet (BPM) motor and a variable frequency drive (model number: CSD100) from Control Techniques, part of Emerson Industrial Automation group. Superior load matching capability through an expansive 1000-7200 RPM speed range for enhanced light load efficiency and dehumidification. Expanded operating envelope providing the greatest flexibility in design and desired condition. Application in tandem and trio combinations when paired with fixed capacity scroll compressor(s) for maximum flexibility in system design. Agency approved package for compressor and drive. The CSD100 variable frequency drive features: 15kW power drive options for various system applications (See Table 3). CoreSense technology that safeguards the compressor and drive from many adverse operating conditions, proactive envelope control, and resonance avoidance. RS485 Modbus communications as standard. Smartcard/SD card reader for parameter cloning, storage, backup, and restore. Compact aluminum chassis allowing flexible mounting, with built-in high performance extruded heat sink. Optional multi-language, click-in LCD keypads for rapid set-up and diagnostics. Motor stator heating for liquid refrigerant management.
