Berk Exhaust Installation 1. Lay out all parts and loosely preassemble the front pipe assemblies with the resonated midpipe section. 2. The front pipe assemblies are not identical. They should appear like this when assembled. CORRECT INCORRECT Page 3 of 10
3. Insert exhaust gaskets between the resonated midpipe section and front pipe assembly with supplied M8x40mm bolts, nuts, and washers. Assemble finger tight only! DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN DOWN YET! 4. With an 8mm 12pt wrench and a 13mm wrench loosen the slotted joint and slide it towards the passenger side. Keep bolts loose. Page 4 of 10
5. Use an 18mm wrench to remove the stock exhaust hanger at the rear of the car. 6. Replace the OEM rubber hanger with the supplied exhaust hanger. Maintain upward pressure while tightening the nut. If at the end of the installation, the muffler hangs too low or if the midpipes rub on the sub-frame brace, adjust this mount with added pressure. Page 5 of 10
7. Add the OEM exhaust flange gasket to the flange on the midpipe section and spray the rubber hanger mounts with suitable lubricant to facilitate mounting the muffler section. 8. Remove the springs from the OEM spring bolts and add them to the supplied M10x70mm bolts & M10 washers and install. These will be the first bolts that can be tightened completely. Page 6 of 10

Using a universal joint and extension and 14mm socket, tighten the top nut on the right pipe s front flange first. Then tighten the right pipe s bottom nut. Repeat on the left pipe and then tighten all hardware from the front of the exhaust system working towards the muffler. Page 7 of 10
10. Adjust the center exhaust mount so that the bolt hole is centered between the two front pipe assemblies. Secure the exhaust in place with the supplied 6mm allen bolt. Keep the bracket and mount parallel as you tighten the bolt. Page 8 of 10
11. Tighten down exhaust mount with 12pt 8mm wrench and 13mm wrench. 12. Using supplied M6 allen head screw and zip ties, secure vacuum hose for OEM flapper valve. Thread M6 allen screw into OEM hose and secure hose with supplied zip ties. The threaded M6 screw will grip the hose for a secure leak free seal. Page 9 of 10
