Drive unit ) The compact constructional unit can be installed inside or outside the house as it is contained within a stainless steel housing; ) This drive unit is suitable for use with either a conveying chain or cable; ) It is equipped with an automatic tensioning device. 2. Conveyor pipe ) Is made of 1.25 or 1.5 mm thick galvanized steel tube with an outside diameter of 45 or 60 mm. 4. Medicator ) For exact mixing of vitamins, prophylactics, medicine, or other feed additives in pulverised form in the dry feed; ) The metering capacity ranges from 400 to 8,000 g/h; ) Can be installed into the conveyor pipe of the DR 850 and DR 1500 in front of the first outlet; ) Allows an immediate and, above all, low-priced treatment of diseases in the pig house.

DRY EXACT the computer-controlled dry feeding system Big Dutchman can offer two different computercontrolled dry feeding systems, meeting all the requirements of modern pig nutrition: ) DRY EXACT-Standard or ) DRY EXACT-CombiMix. Both systems can meter out accurate quantities of feed at the individual feed valves. Operation of DRY EXACT-Standard After the start of the feeding process, the quantity of feed for all valves requiring the same feed mix is filled into a weighed mixer. One preparation can consist of up to 14 ingredients. The mixed feed is weighed into portions and passes into the DR 1500. Short spaces between the portions prevent the different feed preparations from being mixed. After each feed metering, an after-flow control is carried out to balance the weight variations of the feed. Once the weighed portion has reached the required automatic valve, the latter opens and feed is dispensed into the trough. At the same time the mixer continues to supply feed to the conveyor pipe for other valves. This process continues until the mixer is empty and the next preparation can be mixed. It controls the entire system, from monitoring, via finishing control and on through to the evaluation of the whole finishing period. How DRY EXACT-CombiMix works DRY EXACT-CombiMix is a computer-controlled dry feeding system characterised by a small mixer (capacity 100 l). This means that an individual feed preparation with outstanding mixing quality can be called-up for each valve. Moreover and important for the future multi-phase feeding is possible at each valve. After the start of the feeding process, the mixer is filled with up to 14 different feed ingredients. The ready-made mixture is then transferred to the feed hopper with a funnel located below it, and from there to the first valve by means of the DR 1500. The mixer then prepares the preparation for the next valve. A sensor at the conveyor pipe right behind the feed hopper checks when the conveyor pipe is empty so that the different preparations do not get mixed. This process is repeated until all valves have been supplied with feed. As an optional extra, DRY EXACT-CombiMix can be upgraded to become a sensor feeding system.
