INSTALLATION INFORMATION CAUTION To prevent burns, allow the engine, exhaust system, radiator, etc. to cool before installing the accessory. NOTE: This accessory is designed to be used with zumo 660 navigation system. It is not possible to use other navigation system. Remove a navi unit from the motorcycle before leaving from the motorcycle. Take care not to damage the painted surfaces of the motorcycle. Reinstall the removed parts on the motorcycle and make sure that wires and harnesses are not pinched. Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery before installing this accessory. The memory of the clock will be erased when you disconnect the battery. Reset the clock after reconnecting the battery. Trim the excess ends off the wire ties after attaching them to the wire harnesses. Do not allow the cut part of the wire tie to interfere with any harness or brake hose. After navi stay installation, check the lights (e.g. right / left turn signal lights and brake lights) for proper operation. When replacing any other accessory that is required to install this accessory, follow these instructions only. PREPARING THE RELAY SET 1. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, remove the motorcycle parts, and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery. SCREW MAINTENANCE LID 2. Remove the fuse box cover as shown. FUSE BOX COVER NEGATIVE (-) CABLE Illustration shows NC750X type, other types are similar. 2 of 7

3. Install the relay and fuse in the position shown. FUSE FUSE 2. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, LEFT AIR DUCT RELAY SCREW RELAY NAVI STAY INSTALLATION 1. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, Confirm the negative (-) cable is disconnected from the battery. SINGLE SEAT 3. Remove the clip and open the front part of the left seat cowl slightly as shown. PILLION SEAT Open. LEFT SEAT COWL 3 of 7

4. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, 6. Release the motorcycle s connector as shown. S SCREW MOTORCYCLE S 6-PIN WATERPROOF CONNECTOR 7. Connect the sub harness as shown. S LEFT SIDE COVER 5. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS CONNECTOR Disconnect. 8. Secure the sub harness with electrical tape as shown. ELECTRICAL TAPE Secure the 6-pin waterproof connector to the motorcycle s harness. 6-PIN WATERPROOF CONNECTOR LEFT FRONT SIDE COWL 4 of 7 MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS

9. Refer to the Owner s Manual for the navigation system, connect the power cables to the sub harness. 11. Secure the sub harness with the wire tie as shown. MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS HARNESS BOOT 3-PIN CONNECTOR (Male terminals) WIRE TIE Included in the Sub harness. Secure the harness boot to the motorcycle s harness. 12. Remove the handlebar holder as shown. Brown wire terminal Green wire terminal HANDLEBAR HOLDER (Save) S 10. Cover the connectors with the harness boot as shown. COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE ATTACHMENT HARNESS HARNESS BOOT 5 of 7

13. Install the handlebar upper holders as shown. Install the holder with its punch mark facing forward. S (Reuse) Tighten the front bolts first, then tighten the rear bolts. 14. Loosely install the navi bracket as shown. NOTICE: Do not tighten the 6 mm SH flange bolts securely before adjusting the angle of the navi bracket. If they are tightened, the handlebar may be damaged. HANDLEBAR UPPER HOLDER 6 mm SH FLANGE NAVI BRACKET Install at the center of the handlebar upper holder. PUNCH MARK Align the mating surface of the handlebar upper holder with the punch mark of the handlebar as shown. NAVI HOLDER Install in the direction shown. PUNCH MARK MATING SURFACE NAVI BRACKET NAVI HOLDER 6 of 7

15. Temporarily install the commercially available attachment of zumo 660 as shown. 4 mm TORX SCREW 4 mm WASHER COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE ATTACHMENT Remove when securing the navi bracket. NAVI COLLAR Insert into the commercially available attachment. 18. Tighten the 6 mm SH flange bolts as shown. Be careful not to move the navi bracket. Tighten the upper bolt first, then tighten the lower bolt. 6 mm SH flange bolt Tighten securely. NAVI BRACKET 16. Install the navi unit and adjust the angle of the navi bracket as described below. NOTE: Sit on the seat and adjust the angle of the navi bracket so that the screen is toward your side. Then, tighten the 6 mm SH flange bolts securely. Move the handlebar right and left and check that this accessory is not interfere with the luggage box. After adjusting the angle, remove the navi unit. SCREEN NAVI UNIT 19. Secure each harness of the navigation system with the wire tie, if necessary. 20. Check each harness for sufficient play. Move the handlebar right and left and check that the harnesses are not pinched by the neighboring components and that they are not pulled taut. 21. Install the motorcycle s parts in the reverse order of removal. Confirm that the harness is not caught or too tight. 22. Move the handlebar right and left, and check that this accessory is not interfere with the motorcycle parts. 23. Check the headlight and other light for operation. 17. Remove the commercially available attachment. Be careful not to move the navi bracket. 7 of 7
