This Public Hearing is being held in accordance with the Federal-aid Highway Act of 1968, amended, 23 USC 128, 40 CFR 1500-1508, 23 CFR 771; Section 339.155, Florida Statute; and Executive Order 11988, Floodplain Management and Executive Order 11990, Protection of Wetlands of the Constitution of the United States of America. This Public Hearing was advertised consistent with the federal and state requirements and is being conducted consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
This Public Hearing is being held relative to State Project Number 424009-3-28-01. The proposed improvements involve widening SR 363 (Woodville Highway) to four lanes from Capital Circle to Gaile Avenue and providing circulation improvements from Gaile Avenue to Paul Russell Road. In addition to new travel lanes, the improvements will provide for access management measures, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, relocation of the St. Marks Trail within FDOT Rightof-Way, as well as aesthetic improvements.
This project meets the maximum air quality standards established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
This hearing is being held to give all interested persons the right to understand the project and comment on their concerns to the Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency and the Florida Department of Transportation. Public participation at this hearing is encouraged and solicited without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability or family status. This information is also provided in the project brochure and on a sign displayed at this hearing.
