IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION The use of a chain block has inherent dangers to avoid risk of personal injury or property damage make sure you are fully aware of the operating instructions for this product prior to using this tool. Do not exceed maximum lifting capacity of this chain block. Do not use for any other purpose accept the raising and lowering of goods. Never use to raise a vehicle, or structure, do not lift any human load and never use as a winch. Warning dynamic load, a load which swings, slips from center or lowers quickly, can exert a force much greater than the physical mass (weight) of the item resulting in failure of the load chain and/or loss of the load leading to property damage, personnel injury, even death. GETTING STARTED Unpacking Carton Place carton in a clear, open area such as garage floor. Remove chain block and lay out neatly on selected work surface. No assembly is required so we recommend taking this time to familiarise yourself with the components of this tool. Positioning the chain block Chain block comes with a mounting hook attached directly to the chain block; make sure this hook is securely attached to a support structure capable of withstanding in excess of the nominated capacity of the chain block. Attach the block and tackle no more than 3 meters from the ground. Check that the lifting path is clear so that the object being lifted will not foul while being raised or lowered Testing Operation Briefly test chain block operation as follows BEFORE using to lift any load. With chain block positioned take hold of the hand chain with gloved hands. Slowly pull the hand chain in a clock wise direction to raise the load chain. Pull the hand chain in an anticlockwise direction to lower the load chain. The hand chain is pulled slowly and smoothly to avoid tangling the chains or increasing the dynamic load on the load chain. Operator must position themselves so as not to stand under the load as it is being raised, or lowered OPERATING CHAIN BLOCK Preparing Work Area Before using the chain block, it is important to prepare the work area properly. Follow this procedure each time the chain block is used to help prevent property damage and or serious injury. 1.) Thoroughly inspect chain block for damage or wear before each use. Briefly test operation of unloaded chain block before using to lift any load. If chain block is damaged or is malfunctioning DO NOT LIFT ANY

LOAD until the problem is corrected. 2.) Make sure the support structure holding the chain block is sound and capable of holding more than the nominated capacity of the chain block. 3.) NEVER EXCEED WORKING LOAD LIMIT OF CHAIN BLOCK 4.) Loads which are allowed to swing or move of center can exert a force greater then the weight of the object lifted. Make sure load is secured and not able to move from the vertical lifting line. 5.) Clear children and others from work area before commencing work. Another adult should be nearby for extra safety and assistance but must be well clear of lifting area. 6.) Clear obstructions from work area. Working in tight or cluttered work areas is dangerous. Using the Chain Block Lifting an object using a chain block can be dangerous. This chain block is designed and intended for use by properly trained and experienced personnel only. If you are not familiar with the proper and safe operation of a chain block, do not use until proper training and knowledge have been obtained. Follow all instructions and precautions below. 1.) With chain block properly positioned. Make sure the ground is clean and no obstacles are in the work area. 2.) Attach chain block lifting hook to the sling, chain, or load leveling device (not included) making sure the device is securely attached to the object and is suitably rated to hold the weight. 3.) Position yourself away from the object to be lifted. Be aware of a sliding or swinging motion of the object if it is not directly under the chain block 4.) Slowly pull the hand chain with gloved hands until the load chain becomes tight, with the load still on the ground. 5.) Recheck the load is securely attached and will not slip, move, or swing when lifted 6.) Raise the load slowly and smoothly, fast or sudden movement increases the risk of swinging the load. A swinging load can more easily come loose or exert a dynamic load sufficient to exceed the nominated capacity 7.) Never leave an object suspended by a chain block as soon as is practicable the object should be lowered so the load chain is no longer bearing any load. 8.) NEVER work on an object suspended by and chain block. Never place and part of you body under an object supported by chain block. Caution: Any object supported by a chain block creates a potentially hazardous working environment. Never place any part of your body beneath an object supported by a chain block. NEVER work on an object suspended by a chain block. Never place any part of you body under an object supported by a chain block.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE Lubricating Moving parts on chain block should be lubricated occasionally with a light machine grease to maintain efficient operation. Apply grease to all moving parts, chain can also be oiled to prevent rusting wipe away excess oil with a soft cloth. Cleaning Chain block should be wiped clean with soft cloth only. Do not use gasoline, kerosene, or other such solvents or any abrasive cleanser as cleaning agents and solvents will cause deterioration of the lubricants. Storage Store chain block in a clean environment, preferably indoors, in a dry area to protect chain block from moisture. Repairing Chain Block There are no user serviceable parts except as outlined above. Only trained, licensed and certified repair personnel should attempt any repairs or replacing of parts. Any modifications to this chain block, except those performed by the manufacturer, or their designee, will void all warranties both written an implied.
