Vapor Recovery Units United States EPA Flow Rate Limitation * The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established regulations limiting flow rates for gasoline dispensers to a maximum of 10 gpm effective July 1, 1996. Per EPA, the burden of compliance with this regulation is the service station owner s responsibility. Since typical dispenser flow rates will vary with site installation and hanging hardware, Gilbarco is shipping flow limiters with each dispenser sold in the United States for field installation if needed. These flow limiters will reduce flow rates by 2 gpm to 3 gpm and allow compliance with this regulation when installed in a typical site with conventional STPs.
