Use of a hoist is highly recommended and will substantially reduce installation time. Never work on or under a vehicle unless it is properly supported by safety stands and wheels are blocked. After installation, it is always important to inspect and adjust the following if necessary: - Wheel alignment such as camber, caster & toe. - Tire and/or wheel fender clearance. - Brake line clearance and attachments. - Brake anti-locking and anti-skid system sensors. Alignment: After installation, you will need a full vehicle alignment to ensure proper tire wear and performance. Height Adjustment Should be performed with the wheels completely off the ground and with the springs fully unloaded Damper Disassembly The dampers should never be disassembled as it will cause permanent damage to the seals. Figure A FRONT SUSPENSION REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 1. With the car off the ground and firmly supported and the suspension at full droop, loose the lower attachment nut E and remove the upper control arm pivot bolts B and C. Note: It may be necessary to remove the bolt from the bracket line bracket located behind the control arm bolt at position B in order to completely remove the bolt. (See Figure A) 2. Remove the stabilizer bar from the lower control arm. 3. Remove the 3 nuts that attach the upper mount to the shock tower (located under the hood). 4. Remove Bolt D, push down on the damper assembly so the upper mount studs clear their attachment holes, and carefully pull outboard on damper and upper control arm until the damper/spring assembly slides up and out. 5. Install the spring/damper assembly into the spring compress. (See Figure B) 6. Compress the coil spring using the spring compressor per its instructions and remove the piston rod nut. 7. Carefully remove the upper mount and shock absorber from the spring, making sure not to lose pieces of the assembly. 8. The stock upper mount, rubber damper isolators, upper washer, and upper nut from the disassembled OE spring damper will be re-used on the Eibach Multi Pro Coilovers Note: See photo 1 Figure B Upper Nut OE Upper Washer OE Upper Damper Isolator OE Upper Mount OE Spacer, Isolator OE Lower Isolator OE Lower Washer Supplied Adaptor, Front Spring, Supplied Photo 1 D2429 www.eibach.com Page 3

Reassemble in reverse order, but do not torque bolts B or E (Figure A) until the vehicle is on the ground. Failure to do so could result in pre-mature failure of the rubber bushings and will force the vehicle to sit higher. D2429 www.eibach.com Page 4

Figure C REAR SUSPENSION REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 10. Remove the trunk liner from the inside of the trunk, carefully, using a flat head screwdriver or clip-removal tool. 11. Remove the fuel-filler shield from the left side of the trunk, then, remove the two nuts that hold the upper mount 6 on each side. (See Figure C) 12. With the rear of the vehicle raised and the suspension in full droop, remove the bolts 2, 3 and 4, and detach both sway bar brackets. 13. With bolt 3 removed, rotate the rear link out of the way, pull down on the hub and pull the damper off of the lower mount. 14. While pulling down on the hub, maneuver the damper/spring assembly down and clear of the suspension. 15. Install the damper/spring assembly into the spring compressor and compress the spring, then, carefully remove the piston rod nut. D2429 www.eibach.com Page 5

16. Carefully decompress the spring, then, remove the OE upper mount, upper insulator and upper washer from the disassembled OE spring/damper assembly which will re reused on the new Eibach Multi-Pro Coilovers. Upper Nut OE Upper Washer OE Upper Damper Isolator OE Upper Mount OE Spherical Bearing, Supplied Bearing Cup, Supplied Washer, Cup Support Photo 3 Rear Damper Collar Lock Rear Spring Spacer, Spring Helper Spring Lower Spring Bump Stop and Bump Stop Spacer preinstalled on damper 17. Reassemble in reverse order, making sure the damper adjustment window is facing inboard for accessibility. Do not torque bolts 3 or 5 (Figure C) until the vehicle is on the ground. Failure to do so could result in pre-mature failure of the rubber bushings and will force the vehicle to sit higher. Note: Use silicone grease in the bearing cup to prevent squeaks.
