General This supplementary guide includes information for installing a multi-license network version of PowerCad-5. Before you install 1. (For NT, Windows XP Pro or Vista ) ensure write permission is available to the following locations: Target Folder for PowerCad-5. System Registry Windows System Folder. AutoCAD Support Folder. 2. Ensure AutoCAD 2005 or higher is installed. 3. Re-boot the computer. 4. Close all running applications. 5. Disable virus-checking software. (Refer Virus Software Documentation for Instructions). Software Hardlock PowerCad-5 software is supplied with an electronic hardware lock. The hardware lock connection is of the USB port type. Installation on Server Note: Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: Step 4: Close all applications Provide full Administrator rights Install Hardware Lock in USB port Insert CD. PowerCad-5 installation will Auto Start. From the Menu, select - Install Licence Manager. Ensure the LM is active. Check that the LM icon is displayed on O/S task bar tray (bottom right of screen). If the LM Icon is not displayed on the task bar tray, via the Start/Programs/PowerCad Aladdin LM select NetHasp Licence Manager to activate the LM. Step 5: From the Menu, select Install Cable Selection & Electrical Design Software. Note: After software has been registered PowerCad-5 can be uninstalled from the Server. a) On the product Authentication screen, enter the Serial Number and CD Key located on the sticker on the back of the PowerCad-5 CD-Rom packaging. Choose next to proceed. b) On the opening screen review the PowerCad Software License Agreement, you must accept this agreement to complete the installation. To accept, choose Yes to proceed with the installation. c) On the Destination Folder page, do one of the following: Choose Next to accept the default drive/destination folder. Choose Browse to specify a different drive where you wish PowerCad-5 installed. Choose any drive, folder that is on your stand-alone computer hard drive(s). d) Licensee Details Screen. Enter the Licensee information. Note: This information will be printed on all reports generated by PowerCad-5. Choose Next. e) On the Set Up Complete screen do one of the following: Choose Finish to complete PowerCad-5 installation. Tick the check box to install Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 Note: Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 is required to view the PowerCad-5 User Guide. Tick the check box to launch PowerCad-5. Installation on Each Work Station Note : Close all applications Provide full Administrator rights Step 1: Insert the PowerCad-5 CD. Auto play feature will automatically invoke the setup program. If auto play is turned off, then manually run setup.exe. From the Start Menu, choose run, enter the CD-Rom Drive letter and Setup: Example, enter D:\setup. Step 2: From the Menu, select - Install Cable Selection & Electrical Design Software. a) On the product Authentication screen, enter the Serial Number and CD Key located on the sticker on the back of the PowerCad-5 CD-Rom packaging. Step 3: Step 4: Open Explorer, double click on nethasp.ini file located in the PowerCad-5 directory. Configure the nethasp.ini file (a) (b) (c) (d) [NH-Common] enable the correct Protocol. eg NH_TCPIP = Enabled. [NH_TCPIP] add the server IP address. eg NH_SERVER_ADDR = 192.114.176.65 [NH_TCPIP] add the packet type: Send a TCP packet or UDP packet; Default: UDP eg NH_TCPIP_METHOD = TCP [NH_TCPIP] add the timeout length.
